I have a 2 yr old mom In DWC that is suffering and I may have to "put her down"! Shes got hard woody branching all the way to the flower and stunted!
What roots she has are a smelly brown. Shes been under flouros(20 watts/ft) at 1000 ppm ("Lucus" formula) and mild strength h2o2 solution. My thought for a last ditch effort would be to take her out of her res and let her soak for awhile in a more concentrated solution of h2o2,then put her in a res by herself so as not to contaminate the others.....which i thing shes already done! Thanx, happy Hollidaze! ken |

Cut her up into dozens of pieces and start some new moms and some for flowering. Even though the roots may be shot many of cuttings the cuttings will likely survive.

What is the cause of the problem? That's most important. For example, if it was caused by high nute temps then it will likely affect the others too.
If you choose to try and save her then your idea would be a good one. Cut away the obviously dead roots and rinse off as much of the slime as possible first. Make sure she's getting lots of bubbles in cool solution (with h2o2) when you return her to the room and she may bounce back. I'd also be taking clones to replace her with as suggested. If you give some details of the setup we may be able to offer more advice. |
