Looks like it was pressed with moisture in it. If you are not going to consume it all in a few day, you should chop it to powder and leave it on cardboard for a few days or it will go moldy in the middle{Always a drag}. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Peace GS

When its super gummy and sticks to everything, how do you chop it up or grind it up so it will dry out?

Just a note for next time, when I scoop the hash out of the bag I put it on the pressing screen{with a dish towel underneath}. By the time I have pulled and scoop the last bag the first bags I pulled are dry enough to chop up. No pressing is necessary, in fact it makes harder to chop. I start with the first bag I pulled chopping the hash fine on the cardboard with a razor blade. I work my way through the hash in the order pulled and when I get to them, the last ones are now dry enough to chop too.
I let it dry in the ballast room for 24 hours. Then I take the hash for each bag and put it individually into a square glass baking pan. I chop it once again to a finer powder.I use the pan because it bounces all over when you chop it this time, as it is crispier. Then back onto cardboard and into the ballast room for 2 more days sometimes 3 if I can wait. Then its ready for anything. Peace GS ps. I prefer to keep my hash as powder. I find I like the way it smokes better |

if it's real gummy lay it on a piece of tyvek with a piece of cardboard or a towel underneath...you can get free tyvek envelopes from fedex
I had some real gummy stuff once that just stuck to the cardboard and made a real mess Last edited by c-ray; 01-02-2010 at 01:46 AM. |

"In the uptake of nutrients from the soil food web, sulphur is the catalyst for carbon chemistry, boron gives us sap pressure and silicon builds the capillary action that transports plant sap. Only then can calcium, magnesium and amino acids be delivered to cell division sites for chlorophyll manufacture. As chlorophyll catches light, phosphorous transfers energy into sugar production—after which a mix of sugars and more complex products follow potassium through the silica pathways to provide energy or its storage wherever required in the plant."
