Hello all, New here.

Hello everyone i am the newbie to the boards. My hobbies include growing outdoors, smoking, and drinking. I havn't ususally been a huge poster in forums and messsageboards recently, but i do frequent a lot for information on growing. I think this place is probably the best place to get information and help in the future.

My outdoor harvest this year was pitiful due to lack of rainfall which i depend on dearly for most my plants. Can anyone else sympathize with losing your whole crop and vast amounts of time, effort, and money?

fu<King droughts.... oh well

anyways I'm glad to be here, have a nice day everyone.

be happy, healthy, and high

Welcome Dr. Growell..............outdoorgrowing can be alot of work for nothing, or it can be a dream garden come true!!!!!

Even experience growers have shit years.............Keep up the hard work and it should pay off! The outdoor enviroment may be the hardest place to grow, but it can also be the most rewarding!

Build a reservoir, and add a timer............it will pay off!!!!!!

Yes indeed. 2006 was a much better year for me than 2007.

I don't think though that i could power a pump and timer on batteries. My grow location is somewhat isolated. It is a good idea though.

Thanks all for the warm reception.

build your rez up hill so gravity will do the pumping as far as a timer one battery usually does a whole season.,.,

Ill still have to transport water to the area, which is a huge hassle, but i suppose that would work. it would take a lot of heavy lifting and traveling. It defiantly would be worth it next year to try this though...better than losing all my plants!

Right now my outdoor location is a couple feet above the water table. This way Once the roots reach the water table is has all the water it needs. BUT the stupid drought this year drove the water table so low that i left them alone for a month thinking they'd be alright, but no, mostly dead.

it is easy to fill a 3000 gallon rez in 48 hours with a couple rolls{400 ft per roll} of half inch black blastic tubing{use for drippers after you fill your rez from a swamp or water hole above it a bike pump modded abit will start the flow.,., you will need some mesh at the ends so your drippers are not constantly clogging prawn bait traps work well with some mesh inside them., if you build your rez well enough it will fill over the winter if you have some rain etc.,. peace
