looks like a spider mite problem to me. got any little buggers on the back side of the leaf? Maybe thrips as well.
Spider mite damage, first two pics.....thrip damage third pic

Try some neem oil, or contact Carpet Muncher, he gives out free avid for people in the US.

A-S, no spidermites for sure. I know those little bastards well. These spots are almost white. Looks sorta like some kind of fish ick. started on lower leaves. Covers almost all of plant. I have searched but can't find anything on the problem.

Is it only on the old leaves, or is it on the new ones as well?

A-S, could be thrips. Looks similiar to the pic you posted. Don't know what they are so I'll go search on them. Thanks

IJ, it started on the older leaves not on new growth. 3.5 weeks into flower at present.

Gentlemen, we have a winner. Thrips is the correct answer. A 10x loupe does wonders for these tired old eyes of mine.

Next question. Best way to get rid of them. Anyone have any experience they would like to share? TIA

Keep on trying. That's how you learn. Thanks for the link. Was hoping to see if anyone had any luck using nopest strips. Spraying is a PIA. My own fault though. i let it get away from me. Should have taken care of this a week ago when I first saw the spots.
