I am currently trying to solve this problem and hope someone in the community can help me.The plants are in flower about 20 days...Growing in soil not organic and feeding An nutes with lucas formula at about 600 ppm... have tried adding Cal-mag but the problem persists.....It is mainly in this one strain although others are begginning to show slightly..... could it possibly be ph related?....Am going to get ph meter tomm.....Edit ....PH meter has read a PH of 6.8 which i don't think is that high?..All suggestions welcome and thanks in advance..

The spots on the 2nd pik and end of leaf are black not purple....Just due to poor pik editing......

Look through the leaf at the light, see if there is a grey edge. Now spray a little water under the leaf, and look again.. See if there is a discoloration...
Also the indoor bible mentions ph as a possible cause of calcium def...
lower than 6.5 can cause it...

Cal-mag deficiency bought on by pH imbalance.
We'll wait for you to get a pH pen,Bogey.

PH meter was acquired and reads 6.8 which doesn't seem that high? Perhaps some lime may be beneficial?

Bogey; 6.8
what is that ? a reading from the run off, ?
6.8 is ok for soil , but a little high for hydro
remember that epsom salts will raise your PH slightly
you will be better off mixing 2ml per litre and spraying leaves
(use a couple of drops of biological dish soap to act as a wetting agent)
recovery will start from the top down
apply epsom only until problem is solved
sorry for the speedy reply
p.s you want to get down to below 6 (5.5- 5.8 PH )
until then you will have MG lockout
if you do not have a hydro shop nearby , go to aquarium store and buy some "STRESS ZYME "
comes in a little bottle

Geez , good thing i read over my posts
Bogey; soil PH ok, disregard Hydro PH stats
just spray your leaves
and i'll ask again to take a PH reading of your solution after you have watered your soil plant
the run off in the tray; is it 6.8 PH ?
it may be a lot more!!!

I try, but Joe keeps beating me to it.....
Not that I'm complaining....
How are you aquiring 6.8?

One pertinent question....
How well does the soil dry out between waterings? If you don't let it get somewhat dry for a couple days inbetween waterings- it may be nute lock out from wet soil....
And what's the ventillation like? Could it be heat stress? The leaves toward the tops would be affected mostly,if it is light stress...
I'll check back after I "deliver the news" L.O.L.
TC, dont pop any stinky's until we figure out if it's a seed bourne pathogen, Which of couse is my worst fear- The first one sick for bogey was my stinky.
Like bogey says not likely- It was fusarium I had problems with, and bogey says there is no sign of wilting...
Just be sure to use your H2o2 method if you do pop some.....and keep your eyes peeled for anything unusual.
A ph of 6.8 like joe says for soil is good, below 6.5 is when lockout occurs.
Moisture levels could easily be the culprit.
Whatever it is, a nute. def. will weaken the plant and cause it to be suceptable to disease. what about bumping up the ppm to 800-900 guys?
Im thinking 600ppm is a bit low for stinky- she is a decent feeder, a little on the heavy side- But not real heavy..
Maybe you should just get her out of there, but i guess it's hard to do that sometimes... If it is a patogen isolating the stinky could be crucial....

well i guess one could always use SoilOX, but as long as you have freely draining soil you should not encounter lock up
same with temps, like when temps are sky high , cannabis plants require more nitrogen
i would be far more concerned with pythium ( root rot) or Botrytis , than Lockout
i water my plants , then let them almost dry out completely before watering again, which makes a hostile enviroment for bugs and diseases
MG foliar; plants healthy in around 7-10 days
a little silicon later on when plant has recovered will strengthen cell walls
i use it sparingly from time to time. but we'll talk about that later

Thanks everyone for the replys.....Meter was read deep in soil but will have to try run-off....Was afraid to water at this time....Wanted to let the plant dry out ....Ventilation is good with fan running 24/7 Soil is allowed to dry completly between watering although i may have been lax and watered a little too soon cause i didn't want to pick it up again so i watered it with others..My Bad....Mag was appplied foliar and we will see ..... perhaps we might have to commit murder and just let it go......As with some societys try to cut out the infected ones and move on........

Stinky is just a "mag whore" I guess....
So far everyone who grew her wanted more of her beans.... I am testing a stinky humm Bx, which has "the stink' and should get a harder, more indica dom budset with a visible glaze to her..
She is 3/4 humm .....
I got five females out of 6 seeds from this BX... My donor just got sent the rest of those beans.. No more of the stinky to humm bx....
So I'll probably cull a nice male out of my f3 , or even search for an anomoly male from the Filial second...
And I'll hit my "chosen mom" from the BX with the linebred stinky male....
It's time to release her to the masses....She's holding water against the best of em... I'm getting back to work on her soon..
