I always thought 420 came from police code too.

me and a buddy invented the term a couple of years ago, then we drove our delorean back in time to 1967 and told one guy about it as we were rolling a joint on a grateful dead album ...and the rest is history

I heard it was started in the 1970s by a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California. They use to meet every day after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke at the Louis Pasteur statue because of the shade the statue created.

That is just what I read in the past ...

It refers to a time of day not the time of year,,never has


We always had our time at 8:20 am
