Bubblehash TGA Style

I wanted to show you guys how I make bubble. I do it basically the same way as everyone else with a few small modifications that I feel make it some of the best I have tasted.

Here are some of the key things I feel I do a bit different.
1. I only use fresh, wet, frozen sugar leaf. I use only plant matter that is encrusted in resin we toss all fan leaves etc. For best results include as much fluff(Encrusted lower popcorn buds) in with the trim.
2. I use a slotted spoon and hand stir for a maximum of 15 minutes. 8-10 minute batches are even better and higher quality.
3. Make sure to use bagged ice that’s broken into smaller pieces or flakes this will break off more heads.
4. Make smaller batches over larger ones. I prefer the 1 gallon bubble bags as I can place the ice water and weed mix in the refrigerator to pre chill. The colder the better.

Once the mix has been stirred I allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes. This allows the trichomes heads to settle to the bottom.

Removing the first bag separates the weed from the heads.

On the second run I use the 120 Ui screen. This removes plant matter but surprisingly with wet product used even the 120 is gooey and great smoke just have green flakes in it.

Now we move to the 73 Ui screen which according to the strain will be the largest amount and some of the best you will capture.

Once the bags are drained I fold into a ½ so a V is formed in the silk net. This traps all the heads in a small enough corner to scrape out with a spoon and place on the silk pressing cloth that comes with bubble bags


I also run the 25 Ui bags to capture any smaller heads or in some cases of strains having very small resins like ETF and some sativa hybrids you actually catch a good bit here.

I press as much water out as possible with paper towels smashing the pressing screen. I have found if you let it hang from the sink edge for 5 minutes the bubblesand will almost be dry.

I also run the 25 Ui bags to capture any smaller heads or in some cases of strains having very small resins like ETF and some sativa hybrids you actually catch a good bit here.

I press as much water out as possible with paper towels smashing the pressing screen.

I place the pressing screen in the freezer this allows you to flake off the chips of bubble and I then place on wax paper to dry over night. The next day or in some cases two you can roll it into a small turd as you see here. After another day I now prefer to crumble this as it allows all moisture to dry out and makes full melt bubble.

So lets look at the results. You know how wierd I am with my cameras? I have learned close ups of Bubble look really cool.

I have also learned that bubble hash can have a very different high than the bud itself. The king of the hill has to be Apollo-13 it's small trichomes don't produce alot but what it does produce is amazing a hit is like a warm blanket of stone that just envelopes you and takes over your mind.

The last tow pictures are of bubble made from my favorite Space Queen pheno we call tiny bomb.
It taste like heaven..

If you followed my harvest you know I recently took down a 74 day Apollo-13 Sugar mom that was pollinated but didn’t take that well. With all the Amber, Orange and Brown Trichome heads I knew this would make some mean bubble and I was not mistaken.

I used the same method shown above stirring my hand with a steel slotted spoon. I am able to work up a good froth this way and using fresh frozen wet sugar leaf I seem to get very little contaminants.

As usual with this hand stir method the 120 looks pretty damn good I have twisted into a few shapes to show off its nice dark rich color. This is the last to dry out and its surprisingly Kick Ass! I crumble it once I am able and once its super dry I place into a glass jar with all the other #3 crumble making a nice stash of not quite primo but still better than anything I have purchased before

I have mentioned this before but for some reason this hash made from Apollo seems to take your breath when smoking and you can’t inhale for quite some time. It is not for the novice smoker for sure.
The 73Ui is the blob of goo that I have formed into strange and wonderful shapes to show off its consistency and color. I tried using as many lighting types as possible so you can get a real idea of what it looks like this is much darker and richer than the tiny bubble I made or the Gummi Worm we made from JTR.
This reminds me of Malana Cream but to me its in a different dimension when it comes to potency. This is top shelf and even though Gummi Worm Taste better this hits much much harder.

You know what happens when you do something over and over you tend to get a little better each time. This is the case with Bubblehash, the first time we used Milas bags. Now shes a great lady but in the first set the cloth was flimsy and I used an electric mixer. The bags caught the mixing blades and a fucking huge mess was made!
Later I solved this by placing plastic place mats inside them to prevent this.
I used the larger Bubblebags from Bman for awhile and got better but we still beat the shit out of the leaf with a mixer untill one day we burnt the damn thing up. I had to hand stir a batch and the results were stellar.

I find you must allow the hash to dry for at least 24 hours before you can scuplt it. Some hash stays gooey for longer.

One trick Bubbleman taught me was Even though these twisty worms look cool as hell by morning these will be dry enough to break aprt and make a crumble. This assures all the moisture its gone and it will absolutly full melt!


About 10 years ago in Hightimes I read astory about monks that rub there arms on plants gathering resin then the collect and make into ropes that they allow to dry on sun rocks.

I have always liked the idea.

I love Bubble if you couldn't tell and seperate each type of sugar into diff bags so I can make hash from each strain or I will combine some Candy Store with JC to make a tasty and potent mix :)

buddy here uses a curved piece of maple that was found in the forest instead of the slotted spoon

Very nice pics Subcool! I think BH art could easily land you in the next published book about modern art. Wouldn't that be cool? Only problem is that everyone would want to burn your art work. Lol!
You will develop a tolerance to bubble hash quite quickly. Therefore, you must keep many varieties on hand, and cycle through them daily. AFOAF used to just combine all her close trim, and make her bubble. Now since she would quickly build up a tolerance, she's changed from this method to having each strain's trim separated into it's own. This way, she can have several strains of BH on hand. So far the most intoxicating has been her Chocolate Trip. With Bubba Kush a very close 2nd. The biggest yeilder has been the AE77 California Orange. It's not normal to stay completely unplugged from society for 6 hours at a time after using cannabis. Bubble does accomplish just that though. Many people who grow won't smoke thier bubble for that reason. Total loss of functionality, with a Gorrilla style munchy attack isn't wise for some of us on a daily basis. But I am surprised how many actually choose not to indulge in BH at all. It seems to wreak havoc on the lungs! Nice and smooth on the intake, but after about 30 seconds of holding it, it tries to blow your lungs apart.

Alot of people around B.C. have taken to expelling the smoke immediately.This helps to avoid the cough reflex.They compensate by taking inhuman hits.Although taking in a large quantity,I feel they don't allow enough time for lungs to absorb.This is however a good way for a rookie to start.They can release as soonas it starts to become uncomfortable.Trying longer as they become comfortable.Me I like as big a hit as I can hold.I do believe a longer absorption time creates a greater high.Whilest remembering not to asphyxiate ones self.

That space queen (tiny bomb) hash looks insane. Full melt hash is the way to go for sure. Usually when I make hash, I let the frosty trim/lowers dry a little before making it because I find it comes out a little more potent that way than totally fresh.

Hmm... Is there a thread anywhere that explains measurements, and what/where bubble bags are? This seems like a good upgrade to previous methods but I am having trouble finding a guide for a rookie.
