Listed below is the 95% organic nutrient package I feed my plants. The alfalfa tea this makes is one of the most complete vitamin and mineral complex nutrients that I have found. I use alfalfa rabbit pellets because you can buy them in ten pound resealable plastic bags and ten pounds of pellets will last you quite awhile. Alfalfa cubes for horses or cattle will work as well. Read the ingredients and nutrient labels on the back of the package. It reads like the recipe for perfect health and I believe that is what we are trying to do with our plants. The healthier the plant the larger and more potent the harvest.

The making of the tea itself is very easy and low tech so it works for me.
You will need a empty one gallon plastic jug, a small aquarium air pump, couple of feet of 1/4" air hose, and a five gallon bucket.

Into the one gallon jug put one cup of rabbit pellets, three quarters of a gallon of water adjusted to 6.0 pH, 1/4 gram of General Hydroponics Subculture, and the ingrdients listed below for the week of growth you are in. Place the one gallon jug into the five gallon bucket, connect the air hoses onto the air pump, place the other end of the air hose into the one gallon jug and plug in the air pump. Be sure and make your tea in a room that is in the 75 degree range so the subculture will work at peak efficiency. I let the tea ferment for twentyfour hours before use. You will have froth coming out the one gallon jug into the five gallon bucket, that is normal.

Once the twentyfour hours is up, strain the tea mixture through a coffee filter into a seperate one gallon container. Rinse the five gallon bucket with just enough water to fill the second container which should be only half full at this point. Apply the tea to your soil.

Now that is as low tech as I could make the process. You can use a five gallon water jug in place of the one gallon container with no problem and reduce the amount of fermenter froth.

Hi there marigyp, thanks for posting this info, this looks really doable from the standpoint of a hydro guy whos soon switching half his flower space to organic soilless.

A couple of questions......

At what age post germination do you begin this feeding regiment?

Is this a once per week dosing/feeding, or are you using this mix everytime you water?

thanks for your time,

:)

HI mendel. Please note the changes in the above formula for the tea. I have a couple of varietals that will not take the heavy feed regimine and I feed them the current posted schedule. C99/A11, LovePotion #1, and my PurpleGhaze will all take heavy feeding schedule. I feed NL/C99, G-13/ButterscotchHawaiin, and White Widow the above posted schedule. They are fed once a week and watered with 7.2 pH adjusted water with six drops of SuperThrive and one teaspoon of vitamin B1 later in the week.
I start the feeding regime at the end of week one. The micro-organisms in the tea assimilate all of the nitrogen in the fermentation process. So there is no worry about burn in organic soil. Try it on just one of your plants all the way through to harvest.

Clone I start either cuttings or seedlings under T5 veg tubes for three weeks so I get great growth and very short nodes, around the start of the fourth week they go under a 400 watt Hortilux Blue Eye, and at about eight weeks go into bloom under another 400 watt Hortilux Blue Eye and a 1000 watt Hortilux enhanced. I love the mixed spectrum buds this way.

Just curious why a grower would not use Superthrive at six drops per gallon from the beginning to harvest? My last pot for veg is a three gallon. When moved into the bloom room they are double potted with a five gallon lower pot. The Superthrive helps with the development of the new root system.
