...back when i was 15, i lived in ontario and some cali band came to play in this club in toronto...my sis snuck me in and the opening band was the peppers...socks on their cocks and all...

...anyways...

...i ended up getting bought a double whiskey by flea cuz he thought it was cool that a youngster like me was gettin lit at their show...i will never forget that...

Right now I'm listening to the radio and one of the new tracks is on, the mellow one with the chorus where kiedis is singing "hey oh hey oh" yada yada. I'm really digging on this track, but I was going to post asking about the new material. Dani California isn't stellar, and the video was almost embarrasing. I think the peppers have slid a long way and now they are kind of a lounge act. Harsh, I know.

But, they red hot chili peppers are badass. They have a lot of momentum behind their name and I think bringing Frusciante back into the band saved them from disappearing completely. And Flea is a legend in his own time, I was checking out some videos on youtube.com of Flea back in 1990 or something, being interviewed by johnny depp and demonstrating some wicked chops on the bass.

If stadium arcadium is better than californication then I'll be impressed.
