Has anyone growing with LED lights here. I am looking at 250 and 500 watt LED 3 watt 660 lights.

If you have any personal information on it. IE you have used it successfully. Please post anything that might help me in choosing a new light. At the moment I am thinking of going HPS but my brother tells me he would like to give LED growing a try on a small scale. 1 light and a couple plants 2 or 3 to see yeild differences against HPS lights rated for the same square footage.

Thanks

LED lights are still an immature technology, not much bang for the buck there

Cmonsta said it all. You can grow weed with them, but I'd rather not puff it teehee. Peace GS

Out of curiosity we tested 16 various configurations of led lights of the UFO variety (90 watts each). Our tests were 720watts/sq meter. Of the lights we tested, the all blue led type worked the best during the vegetation stage. Now, that's not to say we had great results, but of the ones we tested, they preformed the best.
As for flowering, the light transfer energy seemed very low and we were only able to produce very small airy flowers at best, which took much longer to produce as compared with our HID lamps. :)

Thank you enough said. I just wanted a person in real life without a product to sell to let me know from trying it.
