This is my first year with a veggie garden and have some questions.
I have a short growing season, june-early september, so what can I just put seeds in the ground for, and what do I need starter plants for?
Plant Suggestions?
It gets light from like noon on.

We have a pretty warm summer maby 70s average, cool nights but the summer sun brings the daytime temp up. Were just on top of a mountain and we can get some real late frost.
I should have started them inside but I was lazy, so now I'm stuck with the starter plants they sell at the depot.

Damn, A june to september season. It sounds like you're in way northern BC or Southern Alaska or the Yukon. Turnips will do well and brave the early frosts. Many varieties of squash willalsosoldier through. Then of corse thereare the hardier bean varieties. How's road construction season?

I recommend getting starts for any of your hot season plants like cukes, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, peppers, etc...maybe a good idea to cauliflower, brocolli and cabbage starts because they take a little while to get going from seed
