Hey C-W

I have no idea where I may post this or if some here might find it useful or informative: I am buying a new computer soon and I decided to upload some of the e-books in my collection in the hope that I may retrieve them at a later date. The books are on botany, breeding, cannabis research papers, hydroponics, growing cannabis, and other plant related subjects. During the week if the members here find it useful I will upload more titles as I find the time. I hope you'll find some use for this information.

The Cannameds e-books repository is at:

http://www.4shared.com/dir/16675755/74f9fc45/sharing.html

You will NOT find the following great books there as they were simply too big to scan and pdf them. The first and third are a must for breeders, the second is THE BIBLE on Hemp Diseases and Pests and the fifth indispensable to commercial hydroponic growers. They are expensive, but well worth it!

1. Advances in Hemp Research by Paoli Ranalli
2. Hemp Diseases and Pests: Management and Biological Control: An Advanced Treatise by J. M. McPartland, R. C. Clarke, and D. P. Watson
3. Principles of Plant Breeding, 2nd Edition by Robert W. Allard
4. Cannabis and Cannabinoids: Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Potential by Ethan B Russo
5. Hydroponic Food Production Sixth Edition by Resh
6. The ABC of NFT by by Allen Cooper

Oh yeah, if you are interested in reading the following 2 classics: Introduction to Genetic Analysis and Modern Genetic Analysis by Anthony J.F. Griffiths, et al; the National Center for Biotechnology Information have the books online at:

1. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcgi?call=bv.View..ShowTOC&rid=iga.TOC

2. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcgi?call=bv.View..ShowTOC&rid=mga.TOC

Amazon-Used has those books at less than $7.00 and $12.00 dollars respectively for the 2002 and 2004 editions. Buy them, it's a great deal!

For those who are interested in plant physiology:

www.plantphysiol.org/contents-by-date.0.shtml

...is the online repository of the magazine Plant Physiology from Jan 1, 1926 to June 1,2009. WOW

Finally, for the few who have not read it, Robert A. Nelson's Hemp Husbandry can be read online at:

www.rexresearch.com/hhusb/hhcont~1.htm

Have fun!

ps: By the way, I would love to have these 2 books in e-format as I lent my physical copies and they were never returned. :(

No big deal GS, it only took a little time to do it. Although I must say, I almost couldn't finish it. I was side tracked reading the original Krusty/Serapis thread on Overgrow regarding his bucket methods, which I eventually uploaded to the Hydroponics folder, and, I was rolling on the floor laughing and remembering the insanity of it all. Brought back some good/crazy memories of OG that one.

Since the starting post I uploaded a couple of more things to the Botany and Hydroponics folders and as soon as I find a few more research papers that I have misplaced (I noticed since I couldn't find the male genetic marker paper) I'll upload those as well. I may upload the Enciclopedia del Cannabis, minus the pictures, which I already have in doc format, as soon as I make a pdf out of it. Originally I thought of DjVu-ing everything, since I prefer that format, but most people would not be able to enjoy the files without downloading the DjVu reader as well. Oh well. Peace

1,2 a d 3 are all essential books for any serious library.

Of course Griffith's Intro to Genetic Analysis is excellent (was my first year genetics book!), but any intro to genetics text should do just as well.

Just read 'em!

Hey Chimera, nice of you to drop in as I've meaning to ask you about a comment you made around the net. "cannabis tissue culture is a done deal"

Did you mean that, yes, hemp tissue culture has been done albeit the ratio of explant to root/shoot regeneration is relatively low or you know that a protocol for mass production of invitro clones in chemotype I cannabis has been worked out to commercial standards? ... just curious.

Check out:
Flowering and it's manipulation. ISBN 1-4051-2808-9

It talks about the circadian clock of plants. How the circadian rhythm is integrated into flower induction.
There are primarily three types of flowering schedules:
1. Long Day
2. Short Day
3. Neutral Day

C. sativa and C. indica are shortday species. These flower during short days.
C. ruderalis is a neutral day species. These flower no matter the day length.

If there were a longday species these would be able to be vegetated under 12/12 and flower under 18/6... lol..

As far as I know there is noooo such thing as a long day species in the Cannabis.

The book also discusses the various genes in floral patterning and control of floral organ formation.

The ABC model of flowering.

The genetic control of flower size and shape.

And soo much more.
