I have the honor of being the first to post in this forum and I am excited!. I had an extensive cooking with cannabis thread on OG and was quite proud of it. Since it dosen't exist anymore I will repost my recipes here at Cannabis World.



CANNABIS BUTTER

To make cannabis butter, you will need:

-one ounce to one and a half ounces cannabis{in the form of leaf and or bud}
- 2 quarts of water
-1 or 2 sticks butter (or margarine--I prefer margarine, as it is non-animal and won't spoil as fast) also, less butter/margarine=stronger cannabutter
-a big pot or saucepan
-a big bowl and some cheesecloth


First, chop or grind all the cannabis to a fine texture. Put the water into the pot and bring it to a boil. When it's boiling, turn the heat down, and add the butter. Melt the butter on in the water, [which should be very gently simmering.] When the butter has melted,add in all the cannabis, close the lid, and turn the heat down to a low simmer. Simmer the cannabis/butter mixture for 1 hour to 2 hours.

Remove the pot from the heat. Put it in the refrigerator and let it chill. Once it's chilled, the butter may have set up completely or partially. Put the pot back on the stove and heat it until all the butter is liquid again.

Pour everything from the pot through the cheesecloth and into a large container. Squeeze the cheesecloth to get all the butter out. Put the pan in the refrigerator and let it all cool again. Allow the butter to become completely firm.

When the butter on top is nice and firm (and GREEN), you can either score around the edges of it, tilt it, pour the water out from underneath it, and then remove it from the jar or you can just scoop it all off the top and dispose of the water.

the butter is now ready to use in your favorite reciepe calling for butter

**you can cut the butter "slab" into smaller pieces and store it [in a zip lock] in the freezer for future use.**

***after you have finished making your butter, you might want to test some to see how strong it is***;)



CANNA-BANANA BREAD


1/8-1/4 oz. cannabis bud or your best trim (finely chopped)
1/2 cup canna-Butter
1 1/4 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Bananas (ripe ones)
1/3 cup Milk
2 tsp Vanilla
2 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
Preheat oven to 350 F

Cream Cannabis Butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat it all well. Mash up the bananas. Stir them into the bowl. Mix milk and vanilla in a cup. Sift the flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add flour and milk to the butter bowl. Add the cannabis. Mix it all well. Spread evenly in a greased bread pan. Bake it for 1 hour, or until you can stick a toothpick in the middle, and it comes out clean
