Hi all.

I don't have much experience in breeding, but I understand the basics. I have just grown out some plants that I was thinking about making some seeds from. I have six male and two female herijuana plants. I want to keep the strain, but I don't have room for a mother. The strain is described as an IBL, and the seeds I got were iffy (only 8 out of thirty made it). Not sure if that info is of any use or not, just thought I'd throw it in. Will the seeds be as good as the parents? Or will there be a big loss of vigor? Should I bother?

one thing you can do is outcross a male to an elite, then pop some of those seeds and cross and take some pollen from that to pollinate your 2 herijuana females

ie let's say you had a ubc chemo cutting you could do this
herijuana ibl female x (ubc chemo x herijuana ibl male)

you will then have something mostly herijuana but with some elite genes in there to spice it up...also it will be more suitable for a little inbreeding if the seeds turn out to be good

Thanks c-ray. But considering the fact that I don't have any elite strains kicking around, I'll have to try something else. Do you think it would be worthwhile to make seeds from these plants alone?

if you think the females are good examples of the breed then there is no reason why not. I would use at least three of the males and mix the pollen. what do you have to lose?

u can do it!!!

when in doubt, make seeds!
