No, the Vriptech actually gets you much, much higher than the volcano because it delivers much more concentrated vapors. I have years of EXTENSIVE experience with the Vrip, the Volcano, the Valloon, the Vapolution, The Vapor bat, and the Hot Glass vaporizer (and the BC vape but that doesn't count lol). I own almost every vape and most of them are collecting dust because I use the Vrip each time.

If you try to get as thick vapes with the volcano or valloon, you have to turn the temperature up and it ends up tasting like crap in comparison to the Vrip or Hot Glass. I don't know anyone who has tried a Vrip who says the Volcano gets them higher. The advantages for the volcano are that it is the easiest to use and it is very durable. Also, for party situations the volcano and valloon are great because you can just pass around the bag.

However, if you want to get just blasted, the Vrip will get you there much easier (actually the hot glass gets you higher than the volc as well)...

Hi, I wasn't trying to say that the volcano doesn't get you high, just not as high as the Vrip. Like I said, you can turn the temp up on the volc to try to get hits as thick as the Vrip, but then it just tastes like crap in comparison. There is no doubt that you can inhale more THC from a single hit from the Vrip than you can from the volcano unless you turn the temp up on the volc to the point where it doesn't taste nearly as good. After trying my Vrip, my buddies who have their volcanoes want to sell them or trade them for Vrips.

Hey, a volcano is an awesome vape, but it simply does not deliver hits as concentrated as the Vrip with the same good taste (or the Verdamper from what I understand from Bubbleman).

when i saw Eagle Bills Name on the list i got a shiver through my spine....

I first met Bill on my first trip to the Dam, back in 1996.
He had a little booth with his Vaporizer on a table. A small line had conglomerated where Eagle Bill was allowing people to try it.
Keep in mind this was in the back of The Marijuana Hemp Museum in Amsterdam.

Well, I guess you are right that I gave no absolute scientific evidence that the Vrip gets you higher than the Volcano (and so does the Hot Glass actually). However, the anecdotal and qualitative evidence that I provided saying the Vrip gets me higher is at least defintely present. I did not measure the amount of THC entering my lungs in a single hit, but I can feel that the Vrip delivers more because of the expansion in my lungs and because of the rush I get from it (that I don't get from inhaling from Volcano or Valloon bag). Everyone who tries the Vrip ends up saying that it gets them higher than the Volcano. Of course, that it not scientific evidence, but it is evidence that is worthwhile nonetheless. Qualitative evidence coming from someone who is EXTREMELY experienced with the subject definetely has merit.

The same goes for the Hot Glass because I simply feel higher after using it than I do using the Volcano or Valloon. The hits from the HG aren't quite as thick as from the Vrip, but very close and the taste is even a little bit better (which is hard to imagine for a Vripper). The only problem with the HG is that the heating unit is extremely breakable and the original ones sometimes burn out for no apparent reason. However, they are still working on that vape, so hopefully they at least have the burn out problem fixed now. The Hot Glass is pretty much the only other one of my vapes that I actually use other than the Vrip. Actually, I break out the Valloon or Volcano once in a while when there are lots of people.

Though nothing beats some fmcd in a roor with percs! NOTHING!

I personally like the vapor bros over the volcano. The volc is tight but it gets dirty quick and is a pain to clean, and its just a pita to use if you have a big bag and have to hold it there every time you fill it. Its good once its filled and can go around for a bit but I just like to fill the bowl, attach the tube and inhale constatly with the VB, tastes much better too imo. Volcano also severly drys your throat. peace, enjoy it however.

Volcano wins hands down in my experiences. It works, maybe too well. A close friend, who has been stoned since 1965, refuses to use it again, after "loosing a day" after the first time he used it.

I like it because at 5.5-6.0 I can get all the flavor and high, without busting out my lungs, making my eyeballs pop out, and getting a migraine from coughing my ass off. Low heat is where it's at in The Shire.

We keep the volcano next to something a few inches taller. We can lay the bag on top of the Volcano's neighbor and it will fill without tipping or falling. I've seen some in a corner, and if the bag is just tilted towards the corner, it will be supported until the bags capacity supports itself.

Vapor Brothers style doesn't hold enough, and you have to suck 'just right' to get enough vapor, but not too much or it's diluted. Plus the dial is like a hair trigger, move it 2 degrees off of "perfect" and it's TOO hot or TOO cold. Simply not a reasonable product if there are more than 2 smokers.

Cleaning is a piece of cake. Once a week take it apart, put 2 cups of iso alcohol in a glass jar along with the sticky parts. Put everything in your Microwave oven for 45 seconds. In 30 seconds it will boil, 15 seconds later everything will be like new clean. Simply rinse with hot water and let dry. In 5 min. I can go from a setup so sticky that the bag stays stuck closed, to a totally clean system.

It's been sitting on our sideboard for over a year, and not a single non-toker has asked what it is. I can take the balloon into the front yard and suck it down, and nobody looks at me like I'm smoking a joint....usually they just say, "Sorry your asthma acting up" I just shrug and smile.

I love my AroMed. 2 years daily medical use and no problems. It is a personal vaporizer that comes with its own 'MagicGlass' mini bong. Also german made. Much less irritating to my old hippie airways.

I've got a vapir one and an aromazap - both collecting dust - but of the two I prefer the aromazap
- the vapir one has the bag kit and all but it just doesn't produce concentrated vapor - I'm thinking of ripping it apart and using the thing like a heat gun with my bong.

Out of the ones I have tried, the Volcano is the best hands down for bud, oil vaporizers for oil (I love my custom oil vaping bowl), and the volatizer for really really melty hash and it works pretty good for oil too.

d-lite, that's an interesting point, except that in my case, I like to let it run for 3-4 seconds before clipping on the bag so there is vapor filling the bag from word go, and you end up w/ a denser vapor in the bag. Never thought that I was "purgin' the particles" as well - thanks for pointing that out.

Many have noted the cottonmouth effect / dry nature of a cano hit, and I agree. Used it for a while like that before the RooR arrived. Got a nice 7.0mm 18cm (Roor Green - 7.0) and the 14mm joint size was great, though the 18.5 would probably be fine, there's really no resistance w/ the bag input. Placed a seal on the end of the bowl that fit the mouthpiece perfectly so it was a breeze to use. Very smooth. Guess w/ the ice it would be even better. The roorCano is the shit. I don't like to use the cano w/out the bong now.

Have also used the Dr. Bros. First experience was lousy but turns out that was because it wasn't clean enough. Next time screen was clean and it actually worked quite well. Kinda hard to party w/ it, and "getting up to go take a hit" becomes quite a bit more obvious than when the bowl passes around a couple times and there are only a couple oaks hittin it each pass. Found the hits lighter/less dense as well. However, last experience was good, and for individual use when there is a tight budget on the herb, you will be able to use less w/ the Dr. than the Cano.

Have the Volcano liquid filling chamber, w/ the woven steel pads (for use w/ BHO or perhaps kif) but haven't tried them and will be a few months yet before I can report.

One thing I can say about the Cano is that it is *quality*. Many components are precision machined (ground vs. turned or milled). Once I saw it, used it, cleaned it - it was obvious that the cost is not high what you get. I'd rate the Volcano a good value, and as the market size increases, the cost will come down as manufacturing is clearly a significant portion of the total product expense. The device is patented and has a credible market. This is good for the long term viability of the company (and parts / accessories for your investment).

These days, the key to a quality vape is to pass over the herb with hot air, vs. using a hot surface such as the old-style soldering iron devices (hot knifing probably in the same genre yet more effective). Who knows, maybe the next version vape will pass steam over and then cool it and provide the perfect potent hit w/ good temperature and humidity.

Another thing about any sort of vaporizer, is that it appeals to a non-smoking segment; those who would enjoy cannabis use save for the negative health consequences.

Very cool, looked at those in the pic for a bit when reading the thread another time. Learned something new, and will pick one next time I see one like one of yours (if ever?). Don't recall seeing one of those before, but also may not have had that filter and would recognize one in the future.

Greens and Country Boy make good points. About durability, party passing, etc. w/ the Vrip vs. Volcano. I would imagine the Vrip isn't bad and might produce denser hits, but can't compare. Remember to run the cano until the vapor comes out and then click on the bag and that will increase density by 10% right there. Not sure I'd want anything that would do more damage, sometimes avoid it, and a few guests are 'afraid' now. Used the cano w/ a shitty old plastic graffix and that convinced me to get the RooR. Now I'm "not allowed" to use the roor for anything but the cano (stays very clean w/ vaporizer only), and so need to get another one for regular rips. Hmmm, have a nice custom in mind...

The buzz is consistent with the Pink that I grew, which makes me feel that I did her right. The PG-SUS is a bit of a different buzz more etheral. Hehe, I wonder the same thing if they've tried the verdamper or the Vriptech...

I mean, the volcano and the valloon don't get me nearly as high as a Vriptech. I mean, HANDS DOWN and no comparison. The volcano delivers thinner vapors that don't taste as good and doesn't get me as high. In terms of getting me high, an entire bag from the Volcano or Valloon probably equals one massive hit I get from the Vrip. Actually, no matter how much I suck on that bag, I can never get as high as from the Vrip. I just don't know why so many of you people here think the volc is the best... Well, I know it is the easiest to use, especially with lots of people. However, I like something that gets me the most high, so I use the Vriptech for buds, I use a "unobtanium" copy vaporizer for oil and I still hit bubblehash with a lighter (or in the Vrip).

Bram, have you tried a Vriptech or Verdamper kind of vape before? Man, I swear the hits are way stronger...

PS, the hotglass also kicks ass and I'd say it's much better than the volc and almost as good as the Vriptech. The thing is that those original ones sure don't last long before they burn out unfortunately.

I must say though that the quality of make is far superior to the vapir 3.0 with bag kit I also have. I'm still thinking about ripping the vapir apart and using it as a heat gun on my bong - it does have digital temp control and a ceramic heating element...

anyways I still like my aromazap - if there was one that you could keep on your desk w/o people being any wizer it is the aromazap - nicely made IMHO out of reclaimed wood. I also like to use it in the car. I take a section of clean air hose and use it as a wip - the aromazap sits in the cup holder and I can just puff on the air hose :D

the most insane thing where hot chillis, intresting fact: its only hot when you inhale and it doesnt last (nice for the colder seasons)....

sure you can mix almost anything with it ;)

I Vrip all day.

Actually, first I use my Vapor Bat with the cigarette lighter (Thermaltake) that I installed in my desktop computer.

Three or four spent "bat bowls" add up to a "Vrip bowl" to get a peak again.
More like a "finisher" puff I guess.

I conserve soooo much herb this way.

(Just started experimenting with adding activated charcoal instead of water lately.
Cures the "spilling" problem, thats for sure.
And it tokes smoooth. )

I tried a volatizer a few years ago, maybe they've changed since then but I found it to work ok though not as well as the cane or the vrip, since there was no temp control if I recall correctly, so it was a matter of placing the thing an effective distance from the bowl

also if I remember there was no fan so you had to master sucking as well

I'd like to try a hot glass, any pics there boys?

For glass on glass, the Herborizer (http://www.herborizer.com/english/product/vaporizer/sphere/sphere.html) looks nice

A little out of my price range right now but it looks so nice. He also does a 5mm thick version with adjustable temperature control.

The Home Vaporizer (http://www.vaporizerbyelement.com/index3e.html) has also caught my attention. It looks quite similar to the Aromed, but looks less like a hospital machine and more like a designer lamp, so would probably fit in a little better on the desk :)

It uses a 12V 50W halogen bulb. More pics of it here (http://www.vapman.com/index3b_eng.html).

I own the Silver Surfer and a Steinel 2310lcd heat gun for my Merlin 5.0 bong. I used to have a Hot Glass but I dropped it. Of the 3 the heat gun / bong combo gives the biggest rips. I like the silver surfer because it's very portable and easy to hook up in the car. The hot glass was nice but fragile and basically just a cheap chinese soldering iron.

I think its more of an inexpensive soldering iron. Adjustable temp and ceramic element are not options on a cheap soldering iron.Also not nearly as affective without the blown glass part. To each his own though. Peace GS

I guess it would be a pretty nice soldering iron. Do you know if replacement parts are available? The blown glass part shattered and the heating element cracked. It still works but I'm wondering if this will affect its lifespan. I used a roor reducing adapter to replace the piece and made a bowl out of a downstem. It works but now the air passes over the heating element like most vapes. This was one reason I really liked the hot glass. The air only comes into contact with the product. I didn't mean to knock it. It was just overall a bad experience. First it took like 2 months to get to me and then quit working in like 2 weeks. I mailed it back and they replaced it which was cool. Then I dropped the thing like 2 days after I got it back. Now I can't seem to find out who even makes it to see about parts. Thats when I decided to get a heat gun. I just use the bowl from the hot glass. It makes a decent seal but I'm thinking about getting a VCB from vriptech. Any info on parts would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, masterlow, I've tried those vapes and Vrip is the best by far for delivering the largest hits that get you the most blasted. I own more vapes than makes sense, so trust me when I say the Vrip is the one that gets you the most high.

The Hot Glass is a great tasting vape that delivers nice strong hits as well. However, they really do fail quite easily. Two of them burnt out on me. They didn't shatter or anything, they just stopped heating up. Also, if you drop it, it's toast (same goes for Vrip bowl however). That happened to a friend of mine. However, I believe that was an earlier model than they have now, so I'm not sure if it's improved now.

So, yeah, if you really want to get high and not smoke anymore, the Vrip is the way to go. The volc is really awesome, but it will leave you wanting more after a while. It's superiour for party situations, however.

The Vrip sounds amazing - are you satisfied with the health implications of this set up? I'm a little concerned about inhaling hot air from an industrial heat gun rather than from an all-glass set up, but maybe I'm just being paranoid.

my freind and i used a glass one hitter , 3 ft. of clear plastic tubing and a regular toaster to vape last night. very impressive and cheap too.lol any one ever tried this? im new at vaping and i like the qualities. always used bongs to cool and humidify the smoke ,thus taking out 50% of the carcinogens. but vaping seems to eliminate tar and stuff like other chemicals and so forth. so lets here it for the 10$ toaster!

By far the best smoke Ive ever inhaled. The taste is unadulterated. The effect, instant, complex, and long lasting. I now have a custom Hot Glass Vaporizor, made by Hazedaze. I will post a picture next week.
