Hi Folks,
I was reading through some posts and noticed that 'µ' is being used to mean micron. In the strict translation this is correct but in terms of present notation is outdated.
This may be corrected elsewhere in the forum so apologies if that is the case.
'µ' is usually used to mean 'micro' and then can be used as prefix to other metric units of measure.
'µm' - micrometer or micron
'µg' - microgram
'µl' - microlitre
etc.
Tim
