Picked 2 females phenos from many seeds of the original cross done years ago. 8 clones, 4 of each, and collected the pollen from the most C99 dominant male in regards to smell and leaf traits.
I'd like some feedback as to whether this is gonna be a feasable project or a waste of time. Looking to stabilize this cross with dominant C99 traits. Both mothers are being kept to cross back to the selected male from this batch of seed.
Any input or thoughts would be appreciated.

wtf does he mean the gf is washing out, talk about speaking in tongues, fuck I had to read it 3 times to understand what plant builder is trying to say, shit and I thought my writting was bad.
gf=grapefruit
st#3=sweet pink grapefruit x dj short blueberry
c99 is quite dominant in crosses and also have grapefruity smell
what he basicly say is dont mix cake with crap to make better cake
C99 is a great strain depending on what you are looking for, and where you want to take it
the dude asked for inputs, great to have honest people like PB telling the truth

Goal is the shorter plant height and early finishing times for outdoor. Only grew these indoor prior. Was great indoor and looking like it'll do fine outdoor so far. Had good yeild, potency and flavor.
I hope PB was kidding about the GF washing out, cause I'm not seeing that.

I said...
GF is going to wash you out...
Your goal of getting from A/B to B involves crossing a bridge.
This is what GF is washing out, not herself, but your hopes of over-riding her dominant traits.
I hope you find some tasty herbs.
Even in co-dominant configurations, yer problem is not near solved.
Ever hear somebody say 'man this SWT tastes or looks like blueberrry'? I haven't.
Your first pic told the whole story. The second one confirms it.
You don't even know what swt#3 is....
...can i stop now?
Maybe you think me giving you advice is just for a laugh.
Sorry if it seemed I said my GF would let you wash her out of the mix.
In fact, I was trying to state the opposite.
Nothing wrong with seeds, I love seeds.
It's the packaging.... (expectations) ... that causes suffering.

Jesus PB, didn't mean to piss in your Wheaties. My bad for misreading/misunderstanding your first post regarding the GF washing out.

No.
"You don't even know what swt#3 is....

For years 99% of strains I grew came from Breeder Steve. As for swt#3, yep, I realize that it's homogenous to SPG dominant plants.
" Maybe you think me giving you advice is just for a laugh.

No, I do not. I thank you for your input and deeply appreciate it.
I was quite pleased with the indoor grow of this X in the past. Goal was to produce more seed for outdoors with a shorter plant/earlier harvest time than what I've been working with while keeping the flavor/high of the original X.

PS- If you're not too pissed off at me, I'd really like your input on a no name strain I've been playing with. Don't know a thing about them as they were 'volunteers'.
i want to make seeds with my nl plants if i have a male. do i just keep the ,males and females together or put them in a bag like i read somewhere?

highgrade,
i was up late last night running schema (that must mean i like you)
so we do know what st#3 is and we have evidence it did not produce any gf like buds
fourth gen, 3rd backcross, all that shit is flawed.... (peanut gallery ensues)
sounds neat though i guess, especially when you add in all that cavalier attitude and large swiss facilities.
And please do not mistake my glib for slander, because Steve is a friend of mine and Red an even dearer mentor whom I have worked beside for the last four years.
SWT#3 = Gf x Gf/swt(bx3)
A 3rd back-cross actually has more shite, more recessive, and more blueberry traits than the second, so why we were offered this as the cat's meow for consumers, we will never know. The same can be said for the beloved Cinderella...
...she got fucked by two boys which is good but she should have been double teamed (lol). Anyways, all this rhetoric can be expanded upon if you like.
Feel free to talk about the 'volunteers'. I'll guess that they are self's found in some zesty buds. Getting rid of hermaphroditic traits will be harder than getting rid of GF's rudy like qualities, but there is still some good information contained in them, that may not be available anywhere else.
The short response to your original project is this:
1. Acquire another male, unrelated, and with as much provenance as possible.
2. Acquire a real cindy cut (lol), and/or acquire a real gf cut (not so lol).
Have a good day.

Thanks for spending the time and having the patience with me. Ends up I will probably drop the project anyway for 2 reasons. First, I had to take off for a few weeks and it seems this X has the same problem outdoor as indoor...budrot. Second, someone stole parts of the plants and they must have thought the branches with ribbon on them were special. Hope they enjoy the seeded weed.
As for the volunteers, not selfed, but last year on one of the wildfires I went through a spot that was an old growsite. Found some sprouts scattered here and there over the next 3 weeks. Ended up with 21 and let nature do it's thing. I'll throw up a couple of pics and see if it's worth your time. They do get big and heavy. One on the left is Vietnamese Black and probably won't finish here.
Thanks again!
