this is a great app.but if you read the whole post, they use gravity flow from the tank to the freezer.this is all fine but this means your res.must be above the fridge or freezer.this would in a lot of cases make your grow trays if in hydo, very high elimanating a lot of heighth grow space.possibly someone could figure a way of pumping water to the cooler but i would certainly wonder if this would work as possibly the circulation would be to fast to cool the water.

alright,I thought about this as well they have pumps at lowes that can be regulated by turning a little valve. maybe turn on real low and make the return a bigger.I wonder IF it could cool it down with it constantly running.it looks like theres just sites in the tubes for a while.I have on older fridge out in the garage so IM brainstorming how too do this.what if I made the return bigger and just kept it pumping threw quickly, eventually it would get the temps down, and I dont understand why that guy has such big holes going into the fride. And if its gravity fed, how can it be when both holes are drilled from the top, even if the res was higher than the fridge its not going to push it back up threw the hose ...NO! why wouldnt he drill it on the side for the return.I just dont see how it will push it back up, maybe it just trickles and thats how it keeps it cool.

i think what they are using as a pick up pump is the aq. tank filter, how they regulate the speed of transiting the water is beyond me!!! if you try this good luck,im thinking the plate and wireing is going to be the toughest as well as regulating the flow.good luck to you and your grows!!!!

Need to look more carefully, but when I homebrewed, I used something called a "counterflow chiller." If somebody adapted that principle, you could get reservoir solution real cold, real fast.
