Hey everybody.

A friend is in PA and couldn't figure out if there were any plant number statutes. The NORML website says nothing about plant numbers, just total weight (i.e., less or more than 30g, less or more than 100 lb).

Does anybody have any info on this, or know where it might be found? Seems to me, that if it is weight based only, as long as it is under fed limits he could grow as many plants as he liked with no increased risk? He is currently debating dwc tress or ebb and flo SOG.

Thanks!

hey dert, i doubt it's gonna matter unless he's over 99 plants....then it's a federal thing.

it's just what NORML says it is cause growing ANY plants is illegal in PA.

always keep it under a hundred no matter what....that includes moms, clones and all.

yes, it is illegal to grow any amount of plants in PA. Now depending on where your friend is located will depend on how LEO deals with your friend.
a larger metropolitan area such as Pitt or Phila, it's probably not a big deal, although he will still be arrested.
1 problem with PA is the number of small little podunk cities, bouroughs and townships that have 4 - 15 cops on the force. when they catch someone with 3 plants, it's a huge deal, all over the papers about how they busted a major distributer.

also in PA they have individual county task forces and then the attorney generals office funds all of those little municipalities individual task forces against narcotics. The atty. general also funds all of the fly-overs with national guard helocopters in the late summer and early autumn.

PA is not a good state to grow in. perhaps penalty wise it's not one of the worst, but in respect to busting you for just a couple of plants, it's a bad state.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like a pretty bad scene in general. He is in a bigger town so hopefully will slip between the cracks.

dert, like batman has said pa. is not a good state to grow in....here are the plant #s you asked for: this is from a district atty of one of the little pudunts, which was in the paper here, the man accused of growing 82 plants in his home- district atty.chad chenot said NO_NAME faces a mandatory 5-year prison sentence. chenot said the guide-lines call for a one-year sentence for 10 to 20 live plants, three years for 21 to 50 plants and five years for more than 50 plants...notice the mandatory 5-year sentence!!!!that is anywhere in this state, big city or not- mandatory!!! most people here know nothing of the law here in pa. ...i saw your post last night i had to look for this info and dig it out,i look for and keep anything like this....i would not grow over 9 plants here!!!under 10 plants is a county jail sentence ...i am a member of the hawaii cannibis ministry thank you www.thc-ministry.org , part of their statement is : i dont sell, which helps as defence, just in case, be safe as you all can. monkey5

Wow, mandatory huh? That is rough. Do you know if the 1 and 3 year sentences are mandatory as well?

That makes a very strong case for growin trees in low numbers.
