I just wanted to double up on you PDF link by giving its root, the Kyusei farming site:

2. International Conference on Kyusei Nature Farming (http://www.infrc.jp/english/KNF_Data_Base_Web/)(Database serach of articles, etc!!!)
**FOr those who don't know, Kyusei institute intagrated EM into their farming practices and they have a lot of experience with EM and testing it. But the Kyusei has a base of some kind of religion so Dr. Higa just worked with them on EM...he doesn't follow their religion.
