View Full Version : Cancer tumor pressure pain...

I have a tumor in my back that is smashed flat, the size of a medium pizza crust rolled out. :o If youre going my circumference without the "flat" and focus on the circumference, it would be the size of an old school baseball. I have recently gone through chemotherapy, so it will be a while till I can find out if the chemo did it. Untill then, Im in limbo and simply refuse to take the prescription pain meds, and have gotten my medical marijuana card. Im still new to growing, especially becoming familiar with strains (a lot of strains I see mentioned here, I never knew existed!) so Im trying to find out what strains are out there that would help out with my pain condition. I only get the back muscle spasms once in a while, but can anyone recommend strains that would assist with the pressure of the tumor on the spine? The tumor has a lot of momentary swells thanks to the intravaneous treatment. Ive had a hard time locating strains that would help me out with that problem mainly. So far I found ONE strain that temporarily helps with my pain, but does anyone know of any strain stronger??? It is going to be a while before I go back to the doctors to find out if I won the battle, and I sure would like to know what I should be growing to cure the painful pressure on my spine. Any suggestions are more than welcome!

Interesting! Ill most def give this one a try when I get better enough to be able to experiment with this ext. method. Right now that would be waaay technical for me lol... in my condition if I were to try that now, more then likely I would be nervous about the fume element. Future reference most def noted though, thanks a heap! :)
what strain have you found to work for you so far?

So far as I have said I found one that does okay, good ole J. Herer. Not sure if I should consider that "to work for me" but it only works for a while, and at night when the pressure comes into my spine, I find myself having to get out of bed for two sessions before finally being able to finally sleep. Even then, most nights Ill have to get up to have another session and even sometimes a few more (I swear I feel old already! lol) because the pain comes back. I just would love to know if there are any strains out there that would last me through the night.
maybe making some sort of concentrate from the jack, like hash or oil would prolong the medicinal effect ???

That's an idea that sounds like it might have some possibilities.

I think Ill give the hash a try when harvest time comes around ;)
also depending on your bodys chemistry and metabolism, you may want to try consuming and smoking the jack, ie make some cookies and eat some of those before you go to bed along with smoking so you have a combination of immediate effect from the smoking, and maybe the more prolonged body high from the cookies could maybe help to produce a more longer lasting effect. just an idea

eating the buds with some cheese and crackers seems to work better for my back pain then smoking.,.,

That was one of my firsts I tried when this was first going on. So far I tried salad, cookies, and brownies. No go. :( Only at first, but it NEVER lasted long enough to carry me through all night. And trust me, it isnt that much fun when you wanna sleep but have to wake up at 4:30am and other crazy hours to eat. It kinda started to kill the joy of consuming when that happened for wanting to see if any other foods would work. I can tell you this though, it certainly kills my nausea from chemo! ;) Guess thats the only plus for me about it so far. Thanks for the thought though. :)

Hi Vapor,
When will you be testing this med? Or have you already? I have pretty severe neuro pain from MS, it would be nice to cut back on the opiates if a good cannabis strain will help the pain.
BTW, is that Jacks Cleaner II from TGA, or the original?

it is the original kut.,.
neuro pain is pretty wicked i had an operation recently for mine and it didnt seem to work i have more stuff going on know then i did before the surgury.,.
I dig.,The opiates are a double edge sword.,., there is only so much a person can take pain wise.,., it effects your mental state aswell, the frustration.,.,
I get wicked charlie horses too they last for months and usually the point below the charlie horse is numbed and pins and needles etc
sometimes a nail being driven into my hip aswell.,.,.
so to find a straiin that helps oo man that would be nice.,.
i think the best chance is to have maybe 10 or so strain that are all wicked and keep switching it up.,.,
as far as jc kut, it is at 8 weeks and it is looking like it is slowing down so soonish i will know and will definatly let you know.,., peace
Thanks vapor, I'd appreciate it greatly.
Can I get your opinion about a couple of other strains? You all (C-W members) seem to be the most strain-knowledgeable cannaseurs I've come across. An acquaintance recommended Atomic Shiva and Atomic Haze as 2 great strains. He says the Shiva is pretty narcotic and the Haze is uplifting. What do you think?
Kandahar seems to be popular among the regulars here, and my wife loves the word "Kandahar". You know how sometimes a word gets stuck in your head when you like the sound of it? I'm thinking if I grew her some Kandahar buds, she'd find that very cool. Is it an indica or sativa, and where might I come across some seeds?
Thanks,
Loki
