View Full Version : Brams '08 Outdoor Quest
well this year I am really focusing more (trying to anyways) on seed strains that finish into a nice product. Tonight I just threw some Sugarwarp, Island Thai, Bear, and Hornby Gold x Bear seeds into the dirt, We shall see how long they take to emerge. The rest of the seed line-up is looking like it will be Nigerian (pure), 2 un-named outdoor strains I saved seeds of that I tried last year, Burmese (pure), a few Tex-X (random timewarp hybrids from the early-mid 90's), Kodiak Gold (maybe), Salish x Nigerian, and autowarp. Maybe some other things will squeeze in there but who knows.
Nice!
Man you have a great list...how is the Burmese? I had the old pure version from Federation but when I tried to sprout them they were too old and did not germ.
I havent smoked this burmese yet, but I am sure its close to if not the same as the federation one. some things get repeated by different peeps who try to take credit for it as beign theirs in my area sadly. It should be good smoke when its done with some that are similar to the cut that goes around here.
will you be tarping the salish x nigerian? when do you think they would finish at 50N? bit risky? good luck, ill be watching :)
no I let the salish x nigerian flower normally. Depending on pheno its done between the 9th and the 20th of oct. I doubt I will be doing any tarping this year as its alot more work then just growing the normal way, and I dont feel like spending 3 months out in the bush camping so I can tarp a few sativas.

Hey bram,
It's been a while since I've been here. I've just been so busy over the past few months that I've really had to limit my time online.
Anyway, good luck with you outdoor grow this year man! It should be a good one!

Nice start B.T., what makes the autowarp auto? And should it go straight into flower soil mix? Same questions about fastwarp.
Without knowing any better I was going to grow them side by side with some lowryder, in the same fert mix and small (2 1/2 gal) pots. Any thoughts are welcome.
It has been along time since I put some beans to soak and had everyone sprout tails within 24 hrs, Maroc 05' is it and has some jammin mojo...thanks again for the beans!
taker easy, caddis
I would just throw the autowarps in regular soil less mix, feed them veg food util they kick and then swich to bloom. Fastwarp, just grow like a fast strain. I havent grown that one out yet so good luck.

In no particular order Island Thais, smell of lemon and some deeper herb/spice, autowarps, and some fastwarps.
The island thai surprised me, if I knew it smelled like it does I would have started a couple more.:farm:
mmm good to hear on the island thais, sounds like maybe the dads were as good as they smelled. time will tell. 2nd pic looks like it could be the island thais to me ;)

wheres the pics? how did your cuts root?
will try and remember to take pics of the them when I am at the place next time. they were rooted in a jiffy dome tray full of soil and then carefully transfered into beer cups.
how are they doing bramster?
I want to see some leaves
the 06 you are doing is a mix of paki-maroc and shardullah, pollen fly everywhere with the wind and the area is close... Shardullah is said to be some of the best "strain" going up there. For a hecto slab it can go as high as 600CAD, and thats very expensive in that area for us travelers. The best tip is to get a fancy mobile-phone or somehting to trade, works everytime hehe......anyway I hope that some fat and croccodille leaves show up for you... the crocco got the real classic marocan hash taste you will find her right away
RIF SOLO KIF!
Salam albi bro. I have been super busy down island working for the last month, so I havent had a chance to check on them in awhile. There was 5 there still last time I checked on them, hopefully they are still going. Some of them werent taking off too good tho in the spot I put them in, so if they havent picked up when I go and see them this weekend they are getting dug up and brought inside. Got some nigerians and island thai in the ground too,get som pics of them next time I get out there. try and snap a pic of some the pinewarp and timewarp at buddys place.
