Ok so this 1 Salish X Nigeran is getting a little sick, I'm not sure why temps are fine, fan blowing on them, I haven't been giving them perfect Ph'd water but my tap is 7. Any ideas?

Thanks IG

IG ,I removed the last pic of your finger prints....We are just growers but the man could have tracked you on that,Hand face down the next time Buddy!

Tell me what you have done to them so far.

Thanks Cannarchist, didn't even think about that one.

1.Ok well this guy right here, is the only sick one. I think it may be I have transplanted him from a smaller continuer to a bigger one but the soil mix is different and there may be to much peat in it, because its very packed down. But the PH shouldn't be a problem, I ph'd my water down to 6ish.

2.Also some of them seem to have the problem of as other leaves develop the set prior that set starts to yellow at the tips.

3.But even more so what worries me is that for some reason the light wasn't close enough to my other seedlings and there all really stretchy I have sense fixed the light, but there all kinda wobbly, how can I get the stems stronger? I have a fan blowing on them, can I keep it blowing on them 24/7?

give them the most light you can, low temps as possible, fresh air and a good breeze to strengthen the stems... when you repot you can bury a good portion of the stem....

oh thanks for that idea Dpn! my cups weren't completely full so I just added some more soil, there looking better!

Bram

what all is in your dirt? I used to get a similar problem using sea soil after the lants had been planted in it for abit over a month. stopped using the sea soil and havent had those problems since, I think it was probably from salt build-up in the soil.

I'm using Black gold potting soil, its an organic soil but that could be a problem. I find its only on that one guy that its doing that, the other one that was showing similar symptoms is now doing somewhat better, I think it was only a problem on the first set of leaves.

some of my leaves are lighter green than I think they should be, should I add some nitrogen food to the water? or the soil? or at all?

The Cannarchist

Ph the water to 6.5

The black gold is mostly worm castings so it was probably a tad too strong to start them off.

I am assuming that they were root bound in the original container which makes them look like that as well.

Bring the light in as close as you can get to prevent stem elongation.

hmm well I'd rather not transplant all of them to new soil will they get used to the black gold? Or should i transplant all of them?

islandgrow
05-03-2008, 01:56 AM
ok, so small update I transplanted a few and most are looking quite healthy there stems are much stronger I have the fan blowing on them and temps are down nicely.

The two closeups are the salish X nigeran the first one of the two being the most Indica domiant of all of them.

I'm using Black gold potting soil

Did you use the potting soil or "seedling mix"? I've used blk gold seedling mix many, many times and I love it. But if you did buy the potting soil than Cannarchist prob is right and too much nutrients.

islandgrow

hey gojo

Iam using normal black gold potting soil, which most likely explains why they where getting alittle burn. They do not sell the seedling mix here but i transplanted them to almost strait compost anc they seem to be liking it.

Hey IS,

here's a simple seedling mix you can make that I've had great results with:

4 parts peat
2 parts perlite
2 parts vermiculite

Hey thanks gojo, I may try that if I pop a few more thai's.

So I want to put out my bigger guys today but temps have been dropping into the 40's at night, is this too low? they have been in the mid 50's in the day time sometimes upper 50's low 60's.

Ok so all the salish X nigeran are ready to go outside, just waiting for weather to permit.

the first 3 pictures are of a an Island thai and he seems to be quite unhappy. I have been giving her PH'd water and shes in strait compost which all the other island thai's seem to be liking just fine. So I'm fairly lost. Temps are all fine slightly lower at night. Under a 600 watt HPS.

the other pictures are the salish X nigrean they all are doing super good but need to be transplanted asap.

the fatty indica one is my fav :D

Bram

that island thai looks like a mutant, it will be interesting to see if it has increased resin/potency in the end :high:

islandgrow

here is the mutant she is growing like crazy fastest grower out of the lot. There is a leaf mutation on the biggest of the indica looking leaves.
