COLUMBUS | A podiatrist with offices in Beavercreek, Centerville and Vandalia has lost his license to practice medicine for at least 90 days for using marijuana, according to the State of Ohio Medical Board.
Dr. Dixie A. Dooley admitted to investigators that he smoked marijuana "regularly for several years" but denied ever using it while treating his patients, according to a consent agreement he entered with the medical board April 12.
Under the agreement, Dooley, 54, must abstain from alcohol and non-prescribed drugs, submit to random drug screenings and participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program at least three times a week.
"We're running regular business hours. We have plenty of doctors and plenty of locations," Dooley's wife and office manager, Kathy Dooley, said. "Dr. Dooley is doing just fine and he's due back in July."
