Good to see some familair names. This is my first post here and already feels more like home than any of the other sites that acted as a refuge when the storm blew our home away. Im glad VC and others have brought this site for us! Thx for that.

Hope you all are having a great spring. Just got back from Costa Rica the other day was a pretty rad time.

Other news on the home front. Some might remember what happened to my 11 year old daughter. Well the guy plead no contest yesterday and took the plea of 1 year in county jail 5 yrs probation and 25 yrs registered on the sex offenders list. Its a bitter seet victory but its 1 to nothin as I see it.

Going to get the civil suit underway here soon and this is why he pled no contest.

Ya and the shitty thing is that he isnt garunteed a year. We and everyone we know and who are willing have to write letters to the judge asking him to make sure he gives him the full year which I think is BS becuase when we first started talking with the prosecuting attorney DA or whatever about plea deals I said No less than 1 year I would agree too. So now we have to send in letters begging the judge to punish him for the full year. Crazy!!

Im not done with him yet. I plan to sue him in civil court. I have always said that hitting sonmeone in the pocket book can hurt more than jail time ya know??

I also hope the old addage about inmates hating people who commit crimes against children is true. lol thought about putting money into a bunch of random inmates county jail accounts to spread the word that this POS like to findle little kids.

Anyways. its 1 to nothing advantage us I guess.

I'm back. Sorry that I appeared and then disappeared like that. I had some trouble with my security s/w, and played it safe until had it under control again.

What's the latest in the canna-soap-opera? Any news about RC? Has anyone beaned Gypsy Nirvana with a rotten kidney pie yet? What's the word?

I know some have wondered about jojorizo. Well, his deal is that he A) was pretty unnerved by the whole RC thing, and B) he subsequently moved to a location far from his previous one, and finally C) decided based on all factors to just let his seed op fizzle out, unfortunately. Basically he didn't want to continue because he felt that the way he was doing it thru C-Bay was the only way he wanted to do it... and when that was gone, so was he. He became a legend and then left the building, kind of like Elvis. I'm keeping one strain, Fish Pancake (blowfish x pancake) going with a mother, as I had a strong feeling about it. It's one of those that doesn't appear to yield heavily from f1 seed, but will probably improve in that department in successive clone rounds, no doubt. It is Blowfish-dominant, but has a taste of indica from the Pancake. It's gourmet stuff, but what else would you expect from jojo? If anyone has any messages for him (but please don't bother with ones like "come back to the seed market, dude!"), I'll be glad to pass them along to him.

hi kisanth... I had high hopes for it, due to the parents it sounds like a dream come true, eh? And it turned out to have a lot of great qualities, but for me---maybe it was just my own growing style and conditions---it had a drawback that showed up consistently: a nute-sensitivity gene that was very frustrating. Even in young veg, when most strains are hardy and trouble free, this one was very sensitive and had worrying episodes of leaf necrosis/pH freakout/whatever it was. Fan leaves for no good reason would just go bad and start dying, with other strains receiving the same program having no problems whatsoever. Then, it would grow out of that and do fine up until mid flowering when boom, it would do the same thing again. This is while it was receiving great organic nutrition, all other strains in the room doing great on the same feed/conditions. I think this sensitivity may have come from the Sensi Star side, as that strain is known to be nute-sensitive, but somehow when crossed with the LUI was magnified.

If greekgrower is reading, make no mistake I was and am very grateful for those gifts, which despite the nute problems brought in quite a bit of bacon for me, so I'm thankful. I just thought I'd let him know of this and see if they did the same under his care. It could have been my way of doing things, which is based on equal parts science and instinct.

The end product is a very nice, very indica commercial type bud, sticky, fairly dense, tasty but not total connoisseur material for a snob like me (but could easily be for someone used to less). Familiar, hashy indica smell and taste that is what you'd expect from this cross. Seed plants vegged out about 5 weeks and not topped yielded on average about 1.7 oz each. Bottom line, if it had not had that nute/pH (?) frailty, I might still be exploring it and made a mom etc. But I cannot abide sudden leaf death for no reason at that young stage (don't like it at any stage).

Maybe for someone else, it would not do this. Certainly it would not be expected to do it in hydro. But in organics, it freaked out. Every time. But hell, they were free, and I was grateful, and am still. Just wanted to let him know what they did under my care (such as it is...).

Hi melo, good to see you too man. Yes I was using dolomite lime, and have been for a long time. Trust me, it was not a Mg or pH problem. The SSxLUI just had a freak-out gene, I swear. It was consistent, it did that crap every run of three runs. I do have a few beans left. I won't run them again, so if someone is a glutton for punishment, or thinks they are a better grower than me (snark snark), they could try it. For me, it was being a little "biotch", ha ha. But the end product is sticky and tasty, more like SS than LUI.
