Here is what I call (and correct me if i am wrong) a Humidistat.

It was built in 1992 (my first grow!) by an elecrical m8 of mine.

My second grow was last year.

It gets ac power (power cord - grey wire, lower right): the duplex outlet (marked 'fan') is normally 'OFF' and connected to the exhaust fans.

You can't see it well but there is another line with a female plug coming out the bottom to the left of the power cord.. It is normally 'on' (where the CO2 powers from).

Set the thermostat at, eg. 82F and the Humidity at eg. 50% and if either is reached, the co2 goes off and the fans go on (of course the co2 is on a timer also 12/12 w light). When temps return to below settings, fans off, co2 on.

I'm not here bragging. I do electricity worse than harvest and cure. I'm wondering if there is a newer, greater one of these guys? The above technology is from the 90's gotta be something smaller, this is 29c(11)x15c(6)x5c(2), maybe remote. What are they called and how much are they? Is this something easily made?

Any electrical types out there that can tell me if this is a simple device or just use it and be happy?

No one have ever heard of or uses one one of these gizmos?

around these parts the hydro stores generally make something like what you have, not much different but using new parts
I guess you are looking for a combination thermostat/humidistat, something like this maybe -> http://www.lomanco.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LOP&Product_Code=THERMHUM
btw what is the part on top of that unit?

There are new units out there that do everything your unit does and have all the timers built in including a microtimer for the CO2 or a sniffer to control CO2 delivery. I have basically the same type of setup as yours, only mine doesn't have a humidistat. My CO2 is on a microtimer with a photoeye so it only runs when the light is on. The newer units actually sniff the air for CO2 and stop delivery when the upper threshold is reached and comes back on when the ppms drop to the lower threshold. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on a used sniffer/controller. as my old sniffer only device died on me. It's not a problem now as I know how much CO2 to deliver after years of working in the same cab but if I move to a larger space I'll need to get a sniffer again so I know how many ppms of CO2 I'm putting to the plants. I don't put to much stock in the charts for CO2 enhancement as they are based on if your space was sealed by God. I used the charts on my first cab and when I got a sniffer I found I wasn't doing Jack Doodly at the rate the chart said but when I started getting the ppms into the right zone....kaboom. I don't use a sealed cab anyway, I have a constant 24/7 bleed of air being drawn through a can filter to keep the cab smelltight and also draw off the excess humidity. The bleeder fan has a motor control dimmer on it so I can dial up the airflow as the plants start transpiring faster bringing up the humidity. This wastes a little CO2, but not enough to really be expensive.

Thanks for the leade cray.. that might be the one I'm looking for.
I'm thinking something like this might work well in my harvest room (really a box)with 'small!!!' axial fans to insure air circulation/temp/rh for the first 7-10 days of drying.

The 'part' on top is a 'normally on' switch. When acivated by the therm/Humidst turns the duplex (electrical outlet) 'off' and the line extension that comes out the bottom of the unit 'on' symutaniouly (spelling?= at the same time, LOL!) so that fans are off and co2 on until temp/rh=setting is reached and then the co2 goes off and the fans go on untill temps/rh are within setting when fan/off and co2/on.

I'm not sure how to adjust the temp setting to insure the fan brings the temps down enough so that there would be a half hour to an hour b4 the temp/rh set is reachd again but it'll work.

I'm high as a kite and just rmbling.. sorry
