Roots just starting to come out of the cups (Ebb & Flow)

Nice stocky stems due to 24hr lighting.

The Cannarchist
12-28-2007, 05:34 PM
It's a basic Ebb & Flow with a hand made 8' x 4' bed lined with two layers of thick plastic.lighting is two 1000w MH aircooled hoods.

I will flip them into flower as soon as the majority are hitting the 6th node. They are at node 5 now.As they sex I will remove the males to open up the space for the females.Males will go into another room for selection and I can then move the females in with the selected males in a small cupboard breeding chamber, then after a mist down and a 24 hr wait I can pop them back into the main bed to finish off.

You can get a 1000 seeds a plant in this way.

The Cannarchist

The outdoor seed stocks were getting drastically low so we should now have a decent stock to ensure everyone gets a chance for some early outdoor for this coming summer.

I'll adjust the lighting to duplicate the sun in mid July for the first two weeks of flower that way I can find the early starters then drop it down again to find the September finishers.

I was looking at the Nepalese and it's the first time I have seen branches coming out of the very first cotyldons.........Freaky!

are the early oregon's basically autos?
is the sweet blue cheese = sweet skunk/blueberry x cheese?

quote

how will you do this? just by using more mh for longer?

The Cannarchist
12-28-2007, 08:13 PM
Early Oregon is three(there is a "B" version as well) lines of the same Afgani strain Line bred down by the same folk who gave me the Oregon 90 a few yrs back.they say the line is over 20 yrs old. They have just followed the earliest plants each year slowly drawing back the finishing times. All the plants look identical at the moment but I'm told that there are three different tastes and structures. They are not auto.

Sweet Blue Cheese is The UK Cheese x Sweet Blue from Breeder Steve. The last 9 seeds ever so I will be doing F2's from this.Super headie with a killer taste! A 9.5 for sure and I don't say that often

Dpn,

I have the Farmers almanac and will be adjusting the light timer schedule to duplicate daylight hours in July and August at 50 deg nth.If you just slam them into 12/12 we will not be able to detect the plants that start to flower early in natural daylight.I'm not sure how to take into account the twilight hours but this is the first time I have attempted this experiment.

Roots are now pouring out of the cups as I switched the flood timing to 5 mins on 20 mins off.Once the roots are established I will lengthen the flood time to 10 on 50 off.I have a half inch overflow on the outpipe so that there is always nutes in the bed at all times.

According to the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board Report 2003, "Cannabis grows wild in the high hills of the central, mid-western and far western parts of Nepal, where illicit crop eradication is expensive due to the difficult terrain." Officials find the mountainous areas difficult to access. What is more, they find it difficult to detect illicit crops since "they are interspersed among licit crops", points out the report.

Cannarchist, Im thinking about your daylight experiment.............If you had floros for the first hour of your grow, then x #of hours daylight, then another hour of floros at the end.....................Ive read that the plants dont use that much light during the first and last hour of the day. This may be true, and may be due to the normal twilight plants are used to.

Best of luck with your project!!!!!!

Well I have 18 inches of bloom space for them to grow into.I can touch the bottoms of the aircooled hoods and they are quite cool.I am expecting it to go stadium style and will move the plants around to fit the space as they grow,(I seem to spend an hour or two each day moving them around and spinning the cups for max light coverage)

Ph is running 5.3 floating up to 6.4 over two days. The bed drinks 5 gal a day and I top up with fresh nutes to bring the Ph down each time.Lots of nice bubbles all the time.I use citric acid powder to do any final adjustments.

Probably doing 3 hrs a day on this one bed.Bottom pruning is beginning to get just a top cola in flower.

Coming soon.

The height I had was too little with that many plants crowded together so I have torn down that space and moved it onto the floor in the next room, also repotted into one gal pots.

80 Females made the cut along with 50 males,

The oregons are not quite the early flowering strain that was touted......but i have some exceptional early timewarp and auto timewarp males to make sure that they can be dragged down on the end date.

Will do pics at the weekend as I have limited computer access at the moment

We only had 25 of the autowarp F3 so it will be limited in it's selection capabilities, so there is still a good way to go.But we have the timewarp mother and that is what it is all about. Some annual backcrossing should get us a nice auto strain for the northern folk

these things take time

Bram
02-07-2008, 02:54 AM
I had 3 phenos last year. One was very sativa looking leaves with some foxtailing to the buds. One was more indica dom and one in between the two. The sativa one smelled real timewarpy, the in between one had a mixd smell of that kinda apple like sweetness the warp as to t, but it had a grape kool-aid smell in there too with some spicyness. the indica dom one tasted and smelld the most grape kool-aidy and spiciness. All of them went purple regardless of temps.

Cannachrist-

I have finally got a little extra room to work with these. Have you seen enough yet to make any judgements, as I may only be able to squeeze in one or two of the three right now..? In any case, can pollen be mailed? I would love to cross some of those AutoWarps or Early Timewarps with some of our killer indoor strains. I have C99, AK47, Royal Hawaiian, and Sensi Star (Ogre pheno) that are killer, very reliable (no herms), and ready for immediate pollenation. Split the seeds 50/50. Just thinking. BTW, I will document the Oregon grow here for your feed back.

Perfect time to send pollen over the winter months.I will take a fresh batch and get it ready for you Phrank.

All the Oregons look similar still but I'm leaning towards "C" on the stem rubs.Plus there were more good plants off the getgo. The "A"s suffered a bit of basal stem rot and I only had a few of the "B"'s to look at.The "C"s also had an early pheno that showed in the males.

Well lets get some photos from abefore I fell ill with the killer death flu......

These are all the pollinated buds I selected to get hit up with the EarlyTimewarp pollen.

First is the Earlytimewarp version 1 (easily the best of the two) looks and smells just like the TW herself.Frosty and sticky with the classic purpling .The crap camera doesn't do it justice but they are pretty good for an auto version of the TW.

The only decent thing that came out of that was those Early Timewarp.

But that was all I was looking for.

The "early" Oregons were not in any way.

Such is breeding

But I now have a fully auto strain that produces very nice buds in 90 days from start to finish so I think it was worth the time and money.I have already dropped the Eartly TW pollen onto a sativa to see if it would transfer and it flowered auto on the 7th node.So the auto gene is transferable.
