Can soil become riddled with botrytis? i remember the 3lb's mentioning that they remix there soil and if they had problems with bud rot there soil would be thrown out. I have an outdoor plot that i would like to use again next season but i had slight mold problems.

imho
you might want to try adding some trichodermas (cannabis-world.org/cw/showthread.php?t=3754)
plus if possible add some good quality compost and/or worm castings
and maybe add a bale of well rinsed coco coir
foliar spray your plants with trichodermas at regular intervals during veg thru early bloom to maintain a good coverage of trichodermas living on the foliage

keep in mind that botrytis supseptibility varies quite a bit between different seeds, as well from season to season, in an ideal world your seeds would be acclimatised varieties

Apparently I need some trichodermas! Thanks for the info c-ray. And different varieties definitely have seemed more succeptible to it than others in my experience. A couple years ago I had about 7 Shishkaberry#3 plants outside and a few Schnazzelberries as well. These plants got it bad while the other plants around didnt even show a trace. This year was good, same location. Just a couple bits I had to pick off......Although the Calizhars seem to love the Powdery Mildew, but that is a whole other story. Good Luck!
