Hello everyone!

I meant to start this outdoor thread much earlier, but I've been quite busy and also kept getting sidetracked. This year, things have been a mix of good and bad for me outdoors. During June, the rain kept falling and my swamps ended up quite flooded. So, I lost some plants that were sitting at low ground level and many others were stunted. Overall, however, things are going quite well. Most of the plants were planted high enough, so they weren't damaged.

I wish I had some more recent pictures, but I do have some from 10 days ago. I went out again yesterday and they have actually progressed quite a bit from the pictures. I wish I brought my camera.

Anyway, I'll start with the Freezeland bx x GG#2. These are really looking and smelling excellent. They have progressed so much since taking these pics though. Actually, my best freeze x GG females are at my breeding spot, so I'll have to take some pics of those later on. They are much larger. Most of them have a sweet piney smell, much like the freezeland mother, but with more trichomes and they flower much earlier. The majority will be done by the end of August, some will go into September and two of them will probably go right to the end of Sept. The GG has really brought the harvest time much earlier.

These are Guerilla Gold #2. I harvested that little one yesterday. lol. These are going to be super early and I see major resin on the larger ones.

Poor Freezeland x Mighty Mites got swamped...

They are actually coming along now that the water level dropped...

Here are some Guerilla Gold #3 plants that didn't get swamped! That one is just about ready for harvest already.

OK, I didn't get pics of most of my stuff. However, I will have pics of all of them at some point.

The Durban x Mighty Mite plants are doing well. They have started to bud and look like they will be a good size.

The Lemon Swiss x GG#2 got a little swamped at first, but they have really exploded lately so I can't wait for those. Budding just started on those.

The GG#3 clones are also coming along nicely. They are well into budding and the majority will be done by the end of August and the rest early in September. I'll have pics of those towards the end of August when I go back to that spot.

GG#3 x Jam Donut GG is also looking very promising. It has more size than the GG3, but denser and larger trichomes with earlier budding than the jam donut. I can't wait. Most reek like jam donuts and others more like the sweet seasoning from the GG3.

The Auto Timewarp x GG#2 mostly got swamped out, but now they are taking off. One is just about done and smells/looks just like the auto timewarp but with more resin.

The Master Wonder Skunks were also very swamped, but I got three females that are doing just fine now. They are a couple weeks into budding.

I'll have to take pics at my breeding spots as well, because that's where my best specimens are located. I found the best GG#2 male ever this year. Plus, the GG and Freeze x GG female specimens out there are absolutely outstanding.

OK, I hope everyone is having fun outdoors this year.

Hey guys, thanks very much!

Damn, I've been so busy. I still haven't been back to the madness, but I know some of those GG2s and GG3s are ready by now (some probably a little overdone). So, I gotta get out there soon. Yeah, those pics are so outdated now, hehe.

I bet even a couple Freeze x GG are about ready too. I seriously can't wait to try that out. Most of them smell very much like the Freeze bx mom, so I'm really hoping that comes through in the taste. I love the taste of freezeland in the vape. If GG can use any improvement, it's probably in the taste. GG tastes good in the vape too, but it's not on the same level of taste as the freezeland. These seem to have more trichs on the calyxes than the freeze, so the potency should be really good. The GG really packs on the trichs all over the calyxes, so those genetics seem to be kicking in this cross. I fully pollinated some AMAZING freeze x GG2 females with a special GG male. I'll have to take pics of those parent plants because they are outstanding.

brokencage, yeah, I love outdoor growing. It seems like the outdoor buds always have a special buzz that is missing in most indoor. Maybe it's just me. lol.

Vapor, Vapor, Vapor! Hey man. lol.

Albi, yes indeed! Lots of rain. Sure, go to the octagon with the GGs! However, the "normal" sized GGs will be more potent.

outdoordreams, good to hear from you. Yeah, I had some sort of bacteria/root rot/ph dropping problems in the bubblers. The ph was dropping to 4.5 after one day and then plants were dropping like flies (including the watty). I probably got it from trying to rinse dirt of the watty roots and sticking it in a bubbler. I know it wasn't a smart move. Still, I took some watty cuts in rockwool and those are going just fine now. I am using 35% hydrogen peroxide to fix the problem and it seems to be working so far. Shit, don't touch your fingers with that stuff. lol. But yeah, I should have watty kush x GG#3 before next spring! I bet that would kick ass in BC.

OK, I will be back with much better picture in the near future. I'll get those closeups to see if I can get you guys drooling, hehe. Too bad there is no scratch and sniff on the computer. GG3 x Jam Donut GG really smells so awesome.

Big ups to The Cannarchist posse as well!

I'm going to harvest the first big wave of earlies in the next few days at some point. So, I'll make sure to get some good pictures in before the chop. There should be GG2, GG3, GG3 x jam donut GG, GG1, an auto timewarp x GG and maybe a few Freezeland bx x GG#2 plants ready to harvest. I can't wait.

Thank you, outdoordreams! I'll make sure you get all of the new GG and crosses for next year.

Alright, I went out to the madness again in order to harvest the early plants out there. I must say, I'm pretty impressed with how things are going this year considering the flooding issues early in the season. I took some pictures as well!

We'll start with the Guerilla Gold#2. I harvested about half of them and the rest won't be long now.

Greens
08-23-2007, 12:33 AM
These are Freezeland bx X GG#2. Most of them are very piney smelling from the freeze. You can see in the first picture several smaller FreezexGGs are finished around a larger one that is only a couple weeks into budding. For the most part they are done or close to finishing. This stuff is very tacky and sticky. Soon, I will have pics from the ones from the breeding spot, which are the nicest specimens all around (early, large, resinous and piney).

Greens
08-23-2007, 12:35 AM
Now for some GG#3. I just love this herb...

Greens
08-23-2007, 12:39 AM
The first three pics are of Mighty Durban from Jaysprout. It's Mighty mite x Durban Poison, obviously. This looks like it might be a good yielder and I sampled some of the bud last year and it sure was dank.

The last pic is of Mighty Freeze from Jaysprout too. These totally got swamped by flooding, but they have recovered. Normally, they'd be close to finishing by now.

Greens
08-23-2007, 12:41 AM
Alright, now here is Auto Timewarp x GG#2. I can't wait to try this out...

Greens
08-23-2007, 12:44 AM
Now, this is something I'm working on. A jam donut GG male (sativa appearance) pollinated a super dank female GG#3 and this is the result.

whats the difference between gg2 and gg3?

Greens
08-27-2007, 11:08 PM
Thanks dpn, Green Supreme and Bram! Some dried budshots should be next...

dpn, the GG#2 and GG#3 have the same genetic background, I just selected different unique parents for each strain. I have GG1, GG2, GG3 and GG4 selected for different reasons. Again, each of these GG lines has the same genetic background with the only difference being the selected parents.

Basically, the GG#2 is a shorter plant with chunkier buds than the GG#3. The buds have that very swollen look, although the bud is not quite as tight as GG#3. I'd say GG2 shows a lot of the mighty mite characteristics, but the buds are larger and more potent.

With GG3, the plants are slightly taller and the buds don't get quite as chunky. The trichome production is even better with the GG3 and the buds are rock-solid. This stuff is probably the most potent out of all the GG lines and the stone is very afghan-like. It smells/tastes quite similar to GG2 but often has a greasier and more sour smell than GG2.

GG1 was originally the line with most variation that I released. However, I've bred out the sativa (jam donut) pheno right out of this line at this point. I kept the JD line going separate now. Now, GG1 is closest to GG3, but the buds are even more spear-shaped and the high is more racey/less stoney. The appearance, smell and taste of the dried bud is very similar to GG3.

GG#4 is a line that I never released, but did give some away. I didn't bother with it because the variation turned out to be too extreme. Some were short earlies, others were stretching later sativas going right to the end of September. The potency varied too much for my liking, so it has pretty much been abandoned for now.

I decided to work on the GG jam donut line because the taste/smell is so good. It's just like going to the donut shop and getting a rasberry jambuster. Compared to the other GG lines, however, the jam donut really lacked that heavy punch. So, I decided to cross it to the GG#3 in an attempt to get something like the jam donut but with more potency from the gg3. So far, it seems as though this line is certainly improved with the GG3 mixed in. The potency is definetely better now.

Also, now I'm working on a new GG line (most likely, it will be called GG#5, hehe). This line is really going to be something special. I'm not going to say exactly what I did with this line, but I'll give you a hint: I ended up crossing different GG lines to come up with this one (no jam donut, hehe). I have selected for extreme trichome coverage, high potency, very early finishing and even larger size too. The smell/taste is going to be that dank greasy sweet seasoning.

Greens

thanks for the info, i like the sounds of the gg3 :kind: its great that the auto flowerers are getting decent. I would love to try this clone only auto afghani from reibsi http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=65161&page=1&pp=15 it looks like the holy grail.

Greens

Yes, dpn, I've been checking out Reibsi's grows for the past few years. I think I first saw his auto affy clone on OG back in the day. Indeed, that looks like a keeper. I wish he'd show some close pics, but I still haven't seen any. I remember inquiring about a cross he made called Reibsa (Auto Afghan x Burmese). It sure looked like a great yielder for finishing in September. We never managed to make the trade though, so I never got to try it out. I would still like to, however.

awesome!

Greens

dpn, well, I guess the answer to those questions are yes, yes and yes! It's what I really look forward to around this time of year. It's just so dank and powerful. It would be best if someone else gave their input, of course. However, on the net, there are not very many people who are lucky enough to have tried it (except the lucky bunch that got the beans on cbay and the giveaways of course). I know The Cannarchist tried it so ask him or check out his thread in the Octogan about it.

C-ray, I'm glad you like the pics. There will be many more to come...

I'm going to copy my vape reports over from the cafe:

Oh boy, Auto Timewarp x GG#2 (OUTDOOR!)...

Wow, I'm very impressed. The bud from this pheno has the GG bud structure, but with the timewarp smell/taste. It reeks of fruity perfume and the GG has improved resin production and potency of the auto timewarp. Very strong uplifting high that gets you buzzing and smiling. It tastes more like the auto timewarp (which is very good). I'd say the high is very much like the auto timewarp but now it is much more potent and long-lasting.

The Freeze x GG#2 is absolutely outstanding. I tried two phenos so far. Both are awesome, but one of them is just ridiculously good. It's an inbetween GG/Freeze pheno maybe leaning more towards the freeze. It just reeks so much of pine and orange creamcicles when you open the jar. Then, as you break up the bud, the sweet seasoning smell starts blending in. I must say, it is just mouth-watering. I hit it in the Vrip and the sweet piney/orangey taste is amazing. I could hit it several times and the taste was still fresh and piney! Then, it hits you. This stuff is extemely heavy with a mind-twisting indica stone! The high just keeps building and building for a long time and then just lasts and lasts. That one pheno is probably up there with the most potent indicas I've ever tried, grown indoors or outdoors.

i tried the gg this year and i didnt have good luck with it. i started them real early and they starte dto flower inside under 24/0 so i put them od and they just kept flowering all summer long, never getting tight, just getting taller....fianally i just took them down...they were about 3ft and loose/fluffy buds...now that i look at your i shoulda let them go a bit longer....they were ok, and full of tricks when i pulled them but i woulda definately done better if i let them go.

i got the auto affie that reibsi has as he gifted me some cuts that i had to drive cross border to retrieve and it is an awesome strain...i made alot of crosses this year with nl5, and another w/a ny bigbud, and a couple others...that i will try next season...here is a pic of the auto affie hrrvested on july 15....i seen you were intersted in a close up..so i thought i would share one with you. actually i added a coupkle shots...if you want me to remove them i will...just thought i would share with you....good to see you again greens...i remember you from the old site...peace slater

edit; forgot to mention that the med effect on this strain is aaa+++ and then some....one of the greazest i have had ever...definately in the top three....but more like second to none.

Hi slater,

Those are some nice buds there! Great job growing those. Yeah that afghan looks like a good one for sure. It's too bad the GG didn't work for you because I'm sure you love that too. I find it's best just to veg them for two weeks inside and take them out. Otherwise, they might autoflower too eary on you. Usually, you can find some that are cloneable and don't auto under 24 hrs of light. This year I had great luck just planting the sprouts directly outside in late May and June.

OK, I went out and did a nice harvest the other day. I took some pics before the chop, of course. You can tell which ones I left out there in the pictures. Here we go.
