how would you and what would be the flushing cycle in a sog grow?wouldnt it stress the other plants if flushed longer than a week?i am an intermediate dwc grower, i have a library of grow info including the indoor bible(they all seem to leave little things like that out to sell more books). any insight on the subject will bring me up to speed.

It all depends on how much food you gave it two begin with. are thew upper fan leaves turning yellow yet? I like to flush with straight water, until the bud leaf is just starting to yellow. often two waterings or two weeks, is how long it takes me

are you running a perpetual garden or is this "all one run"?

the reason i ask is...you said..dwc grower

Do you have a staggered harvest planned in a looped together feed grow?

Deep water culture flush, for me was, 7-14 days without feed for a flushing period, and with flushing solution additive i was around 5-10 days. When to apply the flush is a matter of timing of course, this would be just before maturity..etc. During this final flush phase the plants continue to use the stored nutes in the plant system depleting the plant of nutes as well.
So for not knowing whats going on..lol..my suggestions would be..flush plants that you want to chop in a week or two..but if you have plants that are in the same system that will still be feeding and growing this is not a good option. In that case if this were a bucket system, i would disconect those buckets and put a bubbler in each one with flush sol so they can still get flushed while the rest are feeding. And if all the plants are in the same system..well...umm..harvest some early and some late?...LOL..or take out the ones to flush grow them in seperate flush containers some how as mentioned in the bucket sytem. I hope for your sake they are in individual containers..
my two cents...

yep 7-14 days flush in dwc seemed to work the best on my plants as well - but as nugg said it depends on what system you're running - if they're all in same system and some are no where near done you're kind screwed.
