Hydroponics is simply the growing of plants in a nutrient solution. NOT in soil... soil is soooo dirty !!!
There are many methods of hydro. All work, some work more simply than others.
A few common terms are DWC, NFT, aero, ebb and flood(e/f), bubblers, drip to name but a few.
We are here to help, to learn and to brainstorm. Join in and enjoy

I turned my waterfarm 8 pack into a hog system, meaning I put inch pipe to the bottom of each bucket back to the res. and added a pump to the main res.the pump pumps the nutrient out of the main res to each bucket.the nutrient comes in each bucket right under the the red insert, the thing with holes in it.it makes a waterfall effect, and is continously running.I never have have air stones and the ph is perfect, everything is constsntly running the nutrient gets all the oxegen it needs for the plant.I used the blue tube they give you with the 8 pack to pump the the nutrient under each red thing with holes in it.man I wish I knew what it was called, and dont forget to drill bigger holes in that red thing.the holes they have in those things really restrics the root system, drill them bigger. my plants get so thick and strong there trees.my tallest plant is 7 1/2 feet tall and is as thick as my wrist. hope I helped someone.
