i have not grown for years, i have my medical card and am looking for pain relief... i have read that the afghan variaties are what i want... so i am growing trainwreck
the reason for this entry is that i just finished speaking with a caregiver on the subject of plant prep after harvest... and she told me that i want to capture the essence in the leaves... not the bud...
has anyone here heard of this one...? i never have...
at any rate, last night i took the leaves and some pre-bud cuttings[1/2 cup compressed] that i had dried in a bag and simmered it in olive oil for a bit.. a few hours later i tried a bit... maybe too much...LOL... at any rate, today i haven't reached for the pain meds once... i feel really loose... no pain at all...
so, has anyone here heard about the leaf verses bud difference in pain treatment...???
theres tricomes on the leaves
and PLEASE wait till the strawberrys are red before you eat them

a friend gave me some tea extract last week made from the leaves and stalk... [she said the leaves and stem are mostly tricomes, that the tricromes are good for pain] the results were mixed... a bit week for my needs... perhaps her method needs to be concentrated more... i don't know. i will experiment some with this in a few months when the first crop comes in... i am working with train wreck right now, it is supposed to be good for the body effect and sturdy in the grow room with a quick finish... i will probably go in the direction of alcohol tinctures for personal use...[i like the stealth factor... in my mind, it would seem less like recreational use] not to mention being easer on the lungs...
does someone have a rundown on tricromes and there extraction...? i am browsing and have found some info... are tricromes just to weak to be bothered with...?
my whole thing is wanting to relieve back pain without becoming stupid in the process... i mostly gave up the herb in my 20's because it makes me so scrambled that i become a paronid introvert... [i can't even focus enough to read...]
last week i made something from olive oil and a couple of buds... even set on low heat the stove got too hot [crock pot next time....] but it did the trick... results were mixed [figuring dosage] but it allowed me to go through the day with out 6 to 8 caps of ibuprophen i had been using to get out of bed

Bro, the trichomes are where the pain relief is!
It's the trichomes that get you high.
A plant without trichomes might as well be cabbage.
Trainwreck is a real brain thumper, but not an Afghani.
