there are alot of fertilizers aimed towards cannabis, but i have noticed that the npk ratios vary from brand to brand... if someone wanted to attempt to make there own fert what would be the ideal base range? cheers... (this applies for both veg & bloom ferts)

teehee,
20-20-20 comes to mind
do the p205 conversion looks like about 200-40-150
you like bloom booster?
believe she is cutting N to about 100-200-120
(not that i agree)
these are good numbers to play with
enjoy!

thanks for the response... whats the difference between 200-100-300 & 2-1-3 ?... so whats the recommended peak bloom ratio, i see AN has brought out a new pk formula with different ratios to the standard 13-14.

QUOTE whats the difference between 200-100-300 & 2-1-3 ?... How much of a quantity your going to use. Most organic nutes are on the low ratios side which means fert burns are less of a possibility. With 200/100/300 ratios you'll have to use (just an example, pulled out of thin air) one teaspoon to a 55 gallon barrel of water, if you dumped a teaspoon in a gallon of water and applied it I believe you could see the plant curl up and die while adding the ferts. Synthetic nutrients are frequently on the seriously high side, like miracle gro or expert bloom.

I like pb's ratio for veg and early flower
for boosting blooms flipping the N and P numbers works for me ie 100-200-300

imo, the ratio is what we are looking at. 2-1-3 may seem easier to understand and mix..but a plant can't live on macronutrients alone. When you start manipulating the micronutrient values at the (2-1-3) macro nute range..you will end up with fractions or decimals in the micronutrient elemental values. If you use the 200-100-300 at least the rest of the elements will end up closer to whole number values..something easier to compute and measure..etc

so plantbuilder..we have the NPK values..what about calcium, magnesium, sulfur, boron, chlorine, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, molybdenum, nickel...any thoughts there???
