new paint fumes

i was wondering about paint fumes being toxic for plants. for instance a small cabinet that was freshly painted, would the fumebe toxic for plant life. the paint has dried for a week or so. the paint was rust oleum spray paint. i have heard of putting some vanilla extract in house paint to help with new paint odors. but this being spray paint i did not have that option. any thoughts?

get some baking soda or something like that and put it in the cab until the smell is gone

yes good idea c-ray. i belive a ventilation system would help as well. it is imperative for the system anyway. thank you for the input.
