Help with the blanks

i need to know if it would be possible to go from seed to scrog. I understand that this would require a later training process, and more room. But would it be possible to train once i can remove the males . Or would it be worth my while to just learn from the first go and clone then second run with a clone scrog.
(damn clones would save so much time) So the overall question i am trying to get at is is it possible to scrog from a seed plant.

What system are you running. If you can move plants around easily it shouldn't be a problem. Might be a little more difficult if your plants are immobile. Peace GS

I am running am going to running a EB with a 600w HPS... So this means that my girls would be mobile. I big question is if the plants are from seed, the screen would have to be further up. (to accommodate the non brancing stem). This would end up with a thicker and more established stem system to start to train. So would the training involved in a scrog;i understand the stem need to be trained to hard angles, would this damage the plant enough to make a drastic effect in production.

Also i have not decided on the strain. any help with stains that form the single cola

Just let them grow,cull the males and just bend the females over and spread them under the screen being carefull not to snap any main stems as you do it.Use twist ties to help spread the branches out.

i appreciate all of the help this has all been very informative. I have decided that i am going to start from seed and train at about 8". The males will be used to produce seeds, this is being done in order to at least guarantee the second run, in the chance that my clones don't survive. this brings me to my next question. Is there any chance of the males pollinating the female clones at a veg state. Also any input in training the plants to centralize the colas under the light for optimal use of the wattage.

Still any input on the strains that are conductive to scrog. (mainly intrested in the single cola and a relative ease of grow.


Soo many questions but such a fascinating undertaking, i cant help to want to know as much as i can so any other general input would make me indebted.

I am taken back by the amount of information and willingness to help.
It is nice to see a group of people that support this wonderful culture.

Im confused as to your question! You want a single cola plant but you want a scrog...........Sreen of Green uses multi-branched plants, where Sog or Sea of Green uses single cola plants!

Many strains can be used in a Scrog..........let us know what type of high, and taste your looking for!

If you use a supercropping technique, which I will go into more detail for you tommorow, you will end up with very healthy scrog plants from seed!

As far a one main cola i mean this in a way of training all the branching into one central point. As to direct the lights mostly on to the branchings that are centralized. i am not sure if this is possible, or if it the branchings would receive the same light intensity as uncentralized branchings. More light per sq foot equals faster growth, which entails higher yield? is there such thing as overdoing the watts per sq foot?

More light the better, but after a certain amount of lumens per square foot, you may want to add Co2 to the room...........Be very careful with Co2, dont use it in your house unless your sure it wont leak into your living spaces!


Suppercropping from seed!...........A method I learned from reading Kyle Kushman articles.................When your plant first starts growing leaves, you will find the first set is single leaves, the second set is 3 blade leaves, and usually the third set is 5 blade leaves............At the 5 blade stage, start cutting 1 of the 2 leaves off.........again at the next set of leaves, cutting only 1 leaf per node, until you notice an even canopy! This process will slow the meristem growth and encourage side branching.........It is unlike topping because it keeps the meristem alive, only slowing it down! Once an even canopy is achieved, stop cutting leaves.....then you can train the branching into your netting for your Screen of Green! Ive done this very successfully with many different strains!
