good out door soil mix?

hey guys i got a question for ya i am a hyrdo grower and i want to do a out door grow. but i never had much luck with growing in soil for some reason. i got 2 acher of woods in my back yard with sandy loam soil what i want to do is dig a few holes and bring in a good soil mix as of now i got the following stuff to work with
MG organic potting soil
black kow cow manure
blood meal ]
bone meal
lime
can i work with this or should i add some thing else its hard for me to find any thing in this town. i can get some peat,perlite but thats about it. i can get some lambert potting soil at home depot and please dont tell me to use promix because no one here has it, same with fox farm the hyrdo store here went out of business so i cant noting now. i need a good mix that will work till harvest time and how much of each would i use to mix 5 gallons at a time or can i use the sandy loam soil and mix in what ever? oh the mg potting soil as far as i am concred is no good after a week my plants start to turn pale green and the leafs start to yellow at the bottom with purple steams.

Well mostly i got armadillos and poussiums and rarely deer and even rarer bears oh and not to forget gopher turtles.

At your local nursery/greenhouse supplier you want to be looking for some organic dry mix

Blood meal
Fish meal
Bone meal

You can usually find an all in one product in a plastic tub or box. You want a balance of N-P-K 7-7-7 etc...

What size does that organic soil come in?

well as of now i just got a 8 qt bag of it but its mostly bark and sticks i want to find some better soil or make my own but around here its hard to find any thing other than mg crap not sure if peat mixed with the cow manure and my sandy loam soil would work or not. last year i used fox farm ocean soil but th hyrdo store just went out of business so i got to use what i can find in town

Try 1/4 Cow manure
1/4 Peat
1/4 Perlite
1/4 Loam

When you plant just throw a handfull of the Blood/bonemeal dry mix right under the plant and mix it into the bottom of the hole.Water ,then put the plant in and cover/fill in.

I've seen them go to 7-8 ft in the hardest of soils.with just a handfull of dry mix

yo spacecadet, are you forgetting about the florida panthers. not the foot ball team, the animal. i know they will not hurt your experiments, but they just sound cool. try putting 5 gallon buckets up in a tree to keep most critters away from them. btw does any one know why stems turn purple at the bottom? what kind of deficiency is this. and what can be done about it.

Howdy justcurios i am not worried about panthers we do have them here but they are very rare i am more worried about armadillos than any thing since they love to dig holes. A grower buddy of mine said the same thing put em up in trees and i do have the trees just got to find a way to get em up there with out a lot of trouble. Wish i could help ya with the deficiency problem but i don't have a clue there other than may be its genetic, how the rest of the plant look leafs starting to yellow?

might want to avoid fishmeal, since lots of forest critters like to eat fish

Garden Tone and Tomato Tone are nice mostly organic all in one products - relatively inexpensive too.
