oh shit , looks like the wave of the future. thoses light tubes would be great in a vertical set up. or any set up for that matter.

that is expensive. thats neat it uses a chemical to give it a different colar and warm up time is 20 seconds hopefully this is the wave of the future.

they use those plasma bulbs over niagra falls.

Really? Being from Niagara I thought i would have heard about this. (I worked for the parks commission in the mid 90's as summer job) Is this something new they have started recently? Part of the festival of lights perhaps?
I havnt lived there for a few years so I'm a bit out of the loop.

Anyone know what kind of ballast+socket they use? For 2500 they probably come with everything you need but it would be cool if they ran off core and coil ballasts. the one site posted above says it weighs 20 kg so i think its possible.

hmmm thats wierd you never heard of those I actually saw it on a TV show. maybe your right cali,IT could be the hoover dam. but I know niagra falls is the most popular falls and the lights are all different colars they shoot the beams at night threw the falls,I dont think its a regualer ballast there really powerfull,and I think they tap into the water fall for there power source.not sure though. I will check it out.
