I sprouted twelve seeds and all looked healthy. But they'v been in soil now for four days, planted sprout down,{i'm not a newbee}seed head just under soil. And so far they seem to have stalled. I dug one up and its not rotting, the soil is a very loose mix with lots of perilite, soil is always moist but not sopping.
Iv never had this happen befor, could it be the strain? They'r outdoor strains. The temp is a constant 75-80 F I lowered the temp today down to 70 to see if that has an effect. Any help appreciated.

Put them back in the paper towel used to germinate them, clean off with a bit of warm water first.

Re soak the towel with some weak Superthrive or other B1 tonic.Keep at 75 f but open the towel and let some air in a few times a day.

If you get a root let it grow out till root is over an inch long and moving....Then replant in soil feeding only week superthrIve until cotyldons are out of casing and looking for light.

Some seeds just don't like soil until they are bigger

or better yet use a new piece of paper towel...

After they have been in soil,it is most likely that the seed coating will have picked up some fungus or bacteria .75 f is about right to encourage further germination but not accelerate any fungii/bacterial growth.

The refresh of air is more important.

Going to try your suggestion Cannachrist, come to think of it the only seed that actually broke the soil was the one with the longest sprout.
Could this be a sign off too much inbreeding? Or are some strains just genetically prone to slow growth? These seeds are sure not vigorous growers. I started some NL the same time and all are showing fast growth.

yes it could be inbreeding, or the seed from a plant that was not cared for, or both

Just took a closer look, and most of the sprouts are rotted, luckly I have a few seeds left and I'll try those. This time i'll wait for the sprout to really get out there, wait for them to grow fuzzy root hairs of the main root befor planting.
Thanks guys!

Each time you germinate seeds give then a wash in 3.5% hydrogen peroxide it will kill any bacteria on the shells.
