View Full Version : Amount of N in PPMs in bubblers?
hi
i was told at another site that the N in PPMs in bubblers during veg should be between 100 and 150. if this is true it would mean i would need to use my Canna Aqua at 1/4 strength.
is the PPM info i got correct and therefor should i be using canna aqua at 1/4 strength in bubblers?
at full strength, the PPMs of N would be 300PPM - is this too high? it sounds a lot.
thanks

that's a lighter feeder, what is your final ppm and what stage of growth are you in?
hi
the plants are a couple of months old but still very small, only about 10" because they just havent grown much. ive tied them down to make them bush out, which they have done, but growth has just been really slow.
the enviro temps and humidity are fine, the res temps are optimal - 68-72 degrees, so im sure its just my feeding thats been completely wrong... most of the time they just dont do anything, altho they dont look too bad either..
the ec and ph never changes either, so ive reduced the nute strength right down to 0.9, and now the ph has been dropping over night...
im just so pissed off with everything right now.. hence all my questions..
oh, and i thought c99 was a gross feeder...

what temp is your water and room?
res temps have been a constant 68-72, ive been keeping a close check on this.
the room temps have been 68-74 degrees all the time too.
the room RH has been 30-50 the whole time.
btw, thanks for your help... :)

the plants will grow faster if you can bring your room temps up a bit
ah ok,... ive been working on keeping the room temps low because i thought that would have a direct effect on the res temps in the bubbler... low 70s room temp = low 70s res temp was my logic...
the average room temp has been around 68-72, ive been opening the window to let more cold air in to the outer room if ive seen the grow room temp go above 72 degs...

I am not sure if this is an option but you could locate the res to the outer room
thats something i was planning for a future grow when ive got my existing feeding problems resolved.. ive built the kit for a recirculating dwc system, i just thought i should keep things as simple as possible for now.

If the res temp is an issue, it sounds like now would be a good time to move it. Then raising room temp wouldn't be a big deal.I'm sure this will work out for you as I had a simliar vegging problem a while ago.Since raising the temps things have gone off. Thanks again C-ray. Good luck O. Peace GS
cheers GS, i'll give that a go.

> at full strength, the PPMs of N would be 300PPM -
in my spreadsheet I entered Canna Aqua, both parts, and using 3ml of each per liter, produces 138ppm of N
I suggest you use Canna at the manufacturer's recommendations.
get rid of the idea that you should use anything less than full strength nutes

ps. HPS light is strong light when looking at Mel Frank's values. and your 600w lamp should be 20" away..
