fun with hemp

I had a wacky idea tonight, to take a diffuser and diffuse some hemp essential oil (http://www.therapiaonline.com/hemp.php) into the air of the grow room periodically to help deter pests and diseases
mainly I was thinking about those late flowering powdery mildew blues, and how since hemp essential oils are what the plant naturally uses (releases) to protect itself, and also what could be more non toxic
these diffusers I am talking about you put a few drops of essential oils into a little reservoir and it gets bubbled by an aquarium air pump, they are quite effective and they will fill a room with a 5 or so minute bubble

Heres a fun outtie experiment. Plant hemp in spots the year before needed as amendment or amender. Firstly, It will give you an idea of the security of the spot rather cheaply. Also, it will loosen the soil and become an amendment. It will also give you an abundance of edible seedstuffs if you so desire.

couple a years ago I planted one in a royal bank flower bed that got nearly 2 feet tall, walking by that bank really put a smile on my face, got to try that again this year, maybe with seedballs I can toss some up into some hard to reach places..of course I will avoid any areas where someone might be growing that would be bad karma

also I was thinking about my little experiment above, and remembered that a real easy ghetto cheap way to diffuse essential oils is to put a little water in a glass, drop in a few drops of essential oils and stick a handful of bamboo shiskebob skewers into the glass, the skewers act like wicks and send the oils out into the air
