I'm in the process of setting up a grow closet each shelve 2.5'deepx4'wide by 27" high, three shelves, bottom one only two feet high for mothers and clones.
I know with such a limited space I'll really have to pick my strain and mother plant.
My main problem right now is finding a cheap online hydro shop for drip line and other hard ware. I plan to run drip to waste, with water resivore segmented in two parts on top of cabinet , for gravity feed. I separated the res in case I have two different strains going, one on each shelve, the whole thing is isulated with one inch foam board. And will be lit by two 400w hps"s per shelve, both light's will come on together but one will burn for two hours and the other for ten, with the lights alternating every time they come on. {I know this will shorten the life of the bulb but i have lots ha ha} I did this because some research has been done on plants, that shows they use more energy at the start of the day cycle, which makes sense its like us fasting all night and then haveing a good breakfast, your body runs more efficiently and can better use the calories at the begining of the cycle. I think its probably the same with plants.
I have the lights cooled, and in fact have a 100cfpm fan sucking the air out per shelve, this air goes into the mother shelve and a thermostate controles a fan to the outside. Exiting air and blowing in cold air.
A fan also blowes air into the shelve on dark cycle, the mother area acts as a shroud on a forced air furnace.
Any advise regarding strains would be appreciated, and any good B.C. hydro shopes that i can order from online would be great. I;d put pics on but I dont know how.
