I spent the last two hours rinsing hydroton and picking roots out.
Now I am putting it in the oven to broil, a tiny bit at a time relative to the total amount of hydroton to be cleaned.
That got me to thinking of way to do a flood table worth of hydroton at once.
I think a giant oven made from sheet metal that uses propane for heat may be easy to build.
Maybe use a 55 gallon drum, though something that can be disassembled while not in use would be nice.
I am soliciting serious input on my oven idea (how to make it happen) or alternatives for cleaning at least 20 gallons of hydroton at once.
Thanks,
gisisi
