I Got 20 bux on PB.....
Ah...the old daze.....
I can't believe the amount of rip off systems that I've seen in Europe.DDoc was right.....you can only make cash if you market the crap out of a new system in the first year.....Shame that a brilliant idea got robbed....(Shakes head in dismay)

If I read this right; I'll be ridiculed for copying and modifying "The Cage" but 2nee and Green Bastard's threads are OK? I can make a better, cheaper system than Ddoc that fits in my space but I should give him $1700, set his system aside, and spend the $400 that will make his(?) idea work for me. He's tried to make all his money in a few systems rather than pare the cost down so that it is cheaper to buy from him rather than make your own. Why is there a ghetto thread on this site? You haven't bought you own 5 gal. plastic bucket and drilled some holes in it rather than pay GH or Hydrofarms for their's? I'm creating a vertical grow that's top feed/rockwool in the 'wye' and aeroponics in the vertical: Am I ripping him off? I'm going to angle the wyes so that one plant doesn't come up directly in front of another. I'm going with a hexagon that has flat white panels between the columns: Is it 'new'?
I think I've read this site from one end to the other in the last month and recognize the pros: Lucas, Cray, Cannarchist, 2nee, green bastard, and others that fill in the spaces with pertinent info. I've learned a lot and enjoyed reading the threads, but what is the criteria for not getting flamed?

Well according to your list I'm not qualified to answer. Heehee. I would say it seems to me like no one here is mad at you. Peace GS

Build your own but give qudos to the originator.
Give some buds away to sick folk to say thanks for the idea.

I've started this three times and each time I go to post some pictures, I lose what I've written. It's the cage with rockwool in the 'wye' being fed by 1/4" drip tube for 6 minutes every 2 hours. This is what I've done in my top feed, tilted table, past grows: It's fed to flush; about 3 times the nutrient goes through and flushes any salts and leaves the RW 'charged'. In a flat grow, I would have cut 6" RW slabs into 6" lengths and sat the 4" RW blocks on top. (The blocks seem to have a vertical strand layout and drain fairly quickly whereas the slab's strands are layed out horizontally and hold nutes longer.) After the roots clear the 4" RW block, they are in the vertical tube and nourished by 24/7 sprayers/misters. As aeroponics can live or die by the mister pump; I hope that having the top feed pump for the RW will give me some backup. I plan on having the 2 pumps in the same res, just operating on separate timers or I could use one pump and a relay to switch a solenoid between the two different delivery systems,( 6 mins every two hrs, and mist the rest of the time. For Lucas: The mist would cool the root zone, but I'd still need a chiller as the Northern Sacramento Valley faces 80+degrees at night and often, over 100 during the day.)
I'm going to post this and then see if I can get some pictures to you.

Viva la revolution! I do know that a picture is worth a whole lot of verbage but I have to play with this more to post 'em. I also have to go to work in the AM. Oh, how I wish plan 'B' was working already. Buenos noches.
