I have a question about my RO filter that I can't figure out.
The water going into the RO filter has a PH of 6.8 but when it comes out the PH is 4.7. Is this normal? Or is this because of all the calcium/lime that gets filtered out? Or do I have some bacteria in my filter causing the drop in PH?
The source is well water that has a ppm of like 700 going in and 0 after it goes thru the RO filter so the filter is working real good.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I have been adjusting the PH to 5.8 before using it as I store it in a 55 gallon plastic barrel and all has been fine but why the PH drops so low after going thru the RO filter seems weird to me.
