Reusing hydroton

It is possible to re-use Clay Pebbles once or twice maximum by cleaning them through with Oxy-Plus. We do not recommend that you re-use clay pebbles more than 2 times as you will definitely notice a drop in yield if you do.

This true or just a way to keep you spending?

sounds like bs to me
I've not used them multiple times yet but I would say a good dose of bleach or h2o2, thewn rinsed with water to neutralize the h2o2 and finally a soaking in enzymes would 'unclog' them, as that is what I am guessing happens, the roots get in there and clog them up reducing their cation exchange capacity

Total BS I've used the same Grorocs for 20+ yrs. not a problem! I clean with an overnight bleach dunk (1/4 cup bleach to a 5 gal. bucket) then a through rinse and i dump them into a pillowcase to drain until use. GL
