Anyone have any experience with Floramite? I just got some from a friend and wanted some feedback. Do I really need a gasmask? I am still in veg. about a week from flower indoors in a 12 x 16 room. I have great ventilation if I need it. Suggestions? Any input will help thanks guys!

penetrator is a great wetting agent, and yes it might be wise to blast them again with a wetting agent, makes a big difference to how well it works
also you might want to spray your area with a bleach spray, if it's practical

Okay so I sprayed 3 days ago and....they are still alive! Not all of them, but some of them. Many of the eggs look discoloured and dead but not all of them. Do you guys think I should spray again immediately with the floramite, or should I spray something else and then in another 3-5 use the floramite + SM90 as a wetting agent? AHHHHH!!!!!!! Help me kill em all!!!!:confused2:

lrus007-i dont mean dunk a big plant just a clone before it gets planted in which ever medium you choose, once you have the mites gone, it is easy to make 500 ml of mix and just dip each cone for prevention. peace

grab some penetrator and use that with your floramite and hit them up in the next 48 hours.

Okay, so its been a fair amount of time and no more mites. I sprayed a second time with SM90 as a wetting agent mixed with the floramite. It seems to have done the trick. I sprayed both rooms and all stages of growth. This is by far the best results I have gotten from anything. Thanks for the posts guys!

after talkin with my boy what do you guys think abou this :
it is difficult to introduce mites unless you bring a pregnant female in or a male and female in somehow
if you dont touch the plants how do you get mites if they dont fly if you dont go in to mited gardens?

If they don't die, hit them with an alternating spray of avid, then floramite. Avid will kill the living bugs, floramite will kill their eggs. Every 5 days they complete their life cycle... they are vigilant bastards!

Mites are so tenacious. I see you live in Humboldt, as you know everyone has mites from time to time there. All your neighbors have them, many friends, and so on. LOL! I went 8 years pest free till I moved there. People bring em' over on their clothes and in their hair! Or they make it over from nearby gardeners, greenhouses, etc... They can hang out for a while without food. Its all about prevention at this point. If you don't have em', pretend you do! Same with the powdery mildew. I always burn sulfur several times, that is unappetizing to the mites as well. Good luck on the prevention!

OG Kush I assume you mean? It's a local true breeding line I got from a friend. Sprouted some beans and got some nice phenotypes. Not sure of the exact lineage however. Definitely has the classic look and smell though. I am currently crossing it with the best genetics I have ever used. It is called the Vajra, and was created by a true master over the last 15 years. He passed away this summer on Kauai in a car accident. So I will carry on his legacy. He sent some of the original phenos to the Netherlands when things really got going there in the 80's. Best sativas' ever!:joint3:
Every 5 days was the correct advice for mites.
You want to interrupt all 3 of their stages, eggs, larvae, and adults, and their natural reproduction cycle, which is about 7 - 10 days.
The most effective way to do this is to spray, then spray again after 5 days, and again after 5 more days, covering a 15 day span, allowing for each stage to advance and be killed at a different stage should they survive one of the earlier sprayings.

Also good to use more than one type of miticide for those sprayings. That way they won't build a tolerance. Peace GS
So I just got mites & I have been blessed to never have had this problem before but luckily it's only on three of the plants SO FAR but I know they spread fast. The problem is I'm roughly 3 weeks away from harvest & from what I have read of everyones posts it dosn't sound like u can use floramite in the flowering stage. Any suggestions I am completley at a loss here

Do you have some readily available? It does have a 3 weeks residue. I would spray every 3 days with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide until they are finished. This will brown all the pistils right away but the plant will proceed normally. You won't be able to use pistil color as an indicator to judge finishing anymore. Good luck. Peace GS
