I wanted to start this thread as a place for anyone who wants to post pictures of any mushroom species encountered while out on woodland walks and such.

Heres some pics of some Ps. I found while out in the field today, I have yet to discern a latin name for them, but they are less visual then Ps. semilanceatous and way more giggly.

are you sure they aren't liberty caps?

parabola, these are not liberty caps, if you look closer in the 1st photo, hopefully ou can notice that the caps on these ones are more dome shaped like a mexican cubensis, but minus the veil around the stem. Also they have potential to get WAY bigger then libertys, we picked one today that was slightly taller then a beer can with a cap the size of a twoonie and abit. also the high is less visual and more giggley.

Almost time for the cyanescens. My friend says the coming rain should cause the first flush. Nothing quite like the cyanescens high. Happy picking fellas. Peace GS

Heres a pic of a few pins, the pics a few days old, hopefully tonight I can post a current picture.

Whats the biggest single mushroom anyone here has consumed? I dont think I could physically eat anything over 6 grams, its just to darn meaty!

Its a p. cube, ban hua thanon.

A strain of cubensis that differs from the normal ones in my area. These are said to be considerably stronger than the usual. I have yet to get an opinion from anyone but the salesman. Peace GS

I am not cultivating right now as I am trying to start working with cacti for mescaline alkaloids and have had some problems with contams ( my bulk substrate only got 1 1/2 flushes b/4 the green mold took over ). But I did take some spore prints and I will probably start a PF tek rather than the bulk method next time. Here are some Pics I took during the last batch.
Well, I spoke too soon!
Apparently I have to reduce the pictures some as they are all too large to upload!
That always makes it such a pain to post pics. A few other sites are like this with file sizes. It makes it hard to grow and show that is for sure!

Well, Pictures to come!

Click Go Advanced. Then click the paper clip at the top, it will take you to the loading place. Browse, upload and post the reply when the pics are done loading. Good luck. Peace GS

ps pics have to be resized. I use Microsoft Powertoys pic resizer, large works here

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx

thats an easy picture resizer

Nice !

GS, is it normal for this variety of shrooms (cyanescens) to be black like this ? (post 15)
I thought i read somewhere that if they got black, it was not too good to consume them....(or was this just for the reg cubensis variety...?)
thanks

Springs

the blackness is usually just spores, they are a dark purple, but tend to look black as they accumulate, left to mature completely they can look completely black hehe.

Its always a good idea to check for mold though, which could be black, if unsure its always best to take photo's and ask others on mushroom forums if its good or not.

edit: also could be very deep bruising, which can appear to be dark and black in some cases.

Springs

they look good but unlike any pics of azure's ive seen before, azures typically have will have very skinny short stems dry and darker caps,
kinda like these ones:
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/6692/azure3.jpg

hope they are though, should be able to tell if 2 grams is like 5+ of cubes.

enjoy!
