im currently exausting my room with filter/fan combination and thinking about adding C02. my questions are:
1. can you use C02 and exaust fans at the same time?
2. if yes (im assuming you have to turn off exaust fan/filter) how long do you keep the filter/fans turned off.
thanks.

Okay Strawberry, this is how I do it and it's not cheap, but if you don't want to waste CO2 you have to change some aspects of your air exchange program. Running a totally sealed environment becomes problematic because you will have to find a way to get rid of transpired moisture. This can be accomplished with a dehumidifier or if the heat needs to be controlled an air conditioner will also remove a lot of moisture. You could go to the timer method where the room is flooded with CO2, then left for an hour, then the ventilation comes on for a timed cycle, evacuates all the stale air then shuts off to start the cycle over again. I'm going to put up a link to a thread that explains my grow box in detail with pics. I hope this gives you some ideas and feel free to ask any questions you have about CO2 and I'll do my best to answer.

I would do it more often than that, because you would be surprised at how quickly the CO2 level drops. (I have a monitor) That's the idea though, otherwise with the ventilation running at normal rates, you would have to pump in CO2 at huge volumes to effect a change. If you have a larger space and your running a burner to create CO2, because it's fairly cheap to create this way. You may want to keep an elevated ventilation level to keep the humidity from building, because burners also create a lot of added humidity. With tanks humidity isn't an issue but if your space is large refilling all the tanks is.
