Hi all,
Thought I'd share some pics of a test grow I have been doing with these beans. I grew these out under T8 and T5 fluoros, flowered under 324 w of T5 fluoros, using a mixture of 3 6500k bulbs and 3 3000k bulbs. Sunshine Organic mix and perlite added to the soil mix, budswel guano teas, molasses and High Tide organic seaweed for ferts. Had a rapid loss of fan leaves due to not checking my new water supply ( high ph and hard!), but the buds are looking pretty good. 4 seeds sprouted, 3 turned out female. Heres some shots from day 35 - day 45......Starting to smell very nice lately :kind:

Nice work. Just gos to show you can grow good bud with flouros. Actually, if I remember the NL #5 I finished under flouro correct, it was pretty humdinger smoke.

These T5's aren't bad, and work great with minimal ventilation...That was my main reason for giving them a try.....You can put the plants right up to them with no burn, as long as you have a fan blowing over the tops. I'd say off the top of my head that they are as good watt for watt as an HID down to about 18" below the light. Haven't done any side by side tests, so its just a guestimate, but they work pretty well.

I'll have some updates as they move to their final stages. shouldn't be too long now, man, they do smell heavenly

Thanks for the positive comments everybody....No smoke report yet, haven't tested them pre harvest and they're not finished , but will definitely once they are harvested and dried.....As far as finishing time, its getting closer, but they seem to be taking their sweet time. 70 days could be a reality, but I'm hoping 1 of them will be finished by day 60 (day 54 now...) I know the PK cut will go that long, but with the mix of the NL in there, they may go a little shorter..... More pics soon.....

Hey joe :)
3 different plants, 3 slightly different aromas....

1st plant (1st 2 pics in first post, and last pic in 2nd post) smells musky/perfumey sweet...

2nd plant (bottom pic in first post, and macro closeup in 2nd post) smells a little skunkier, with a perfumey sweet aroma also....this one smells the strongest :smilesmok:

3rd plant (pics here) has sparser flowers with longer pointy pistils....this one smells more perfumey/sweet with a muskiness to it as well....The calyxes tend to turn purple as they ripen....

Thanks for the comments!
I wondered about the colors myself, whether they were induced by a lockout or whether they were genetic. The pics of Suges cut all had this same phenomena of the leaf turning purple in flowering, tho I know I did have some ph and hard water issues that were caught late in veg. I corrected the ph and flushed the plants, tested for runoff, and all seemed well, ph in the mid 6's. So I'm not sure what to make of it....The hard water may be an issue tho....Next go 'round I'll have a RO filter or will go with spring water to see if there is any difference at all....These plants may go 70 by the way, so I'm just being patient with'm....:peace:

Lookin' really nice bib!! Nice to see that it is very uniform as your pics look just like the results I & some associates got out of 3 packs! Hate to beat a dead horse but much more uniform than what we got outta our packs of SD IBL's! Can't wait to see how they look at 70 I never let'em go past 60! From what I remember the bud taste's like it smells, and is a potent plant. I actually preferred this cross over the PK/NL F1's. It would still be around if it weren't for the fact that I was blessed to get a PK cut, and a even nicer cross the PK/ECSD. Keep up the good work with those fluoros, I would've never guessed it had you not mentioned it, as they look dense and super resinous.
