buying a lamp on e-bay/insidesun

Hello,

I'm just wondering what people think about buying a HID lamp off of e-bay from the inside sun company (which is the one selling all the lights on e-bay)or buying directly from their own website.

I'm really hesitant to buy anything grow related on-line, am I just too paranoid or should I be wary?

IMO I would only buy the lamp from inside sun. They are honest and tell you the lamp is the only new component, everything else is used equipment. I bought my 2nd 400w HPS (all new equipment)from a vendor on ebay and have had not one issue and their price was very reasonable. as I recall it was around $170. and included a dual outlet 24 hour timer that is rated for 1725 watts. If your worried about ebay narcing you out just remember cannibis is just one of many plants that can be grown under a HID light so ebay could be "narcing out" a habanero grower, an orchid cultivator, someone hydroponically growing tomatos and on and on. Caution is a good instinct paranoia is a mental problem. I have even seen cannibis seeds offered on ebay (you couldn't pay me enough to order my seeds off ebay) If your still concerned have the light assy sent to a non smoking friends home to break the paper trail. Use money orders rather than a CC or a personal check for the same reason. You also have discount hydro and Homeharvest among a multitude of grow shops out there to check out. I like DH for my ferts, otherwise I would have to drive around 200 to 300 miles to find a growshop to walk into. Gas is too $$$$$ to be driving anyplace for stuff that might be cheaper online.

I did a quick search on another bigger ganja forum and found a ton of bad reports on inside sun so I am going elsewhere. Arty was kind enough to point me to a site called HTGSUPPLY that has just as good prices and no bad reports so I'm going with them.

Just FYI, inside sun advertised in HT. They are also in the US. The DEA supeonas all HT advertisers sales/shipping records on a yearly basis. Don't remmeber where I read it, but I believe it was from a previous advertiser. HT keeps thier mouth shut becuase they don' want the loss of revenue.

What wattage are you looking for?

Look in your yellow pages for "elecrical supply" and call around asking for what you need locally. The only catch is to ask for a "replacement ballast kit" They come with the ignitor and cap prewired.

Last 400 hps I bought I got for $97 with a bulb. The only thing else you need is a reflector/socket assembly.

The prices on 1000w is not as much savings, but bulbs are only about $50.

They do not carry 600's, as they are hort specific.

what you do if you can,if you move I order all my shit at the addrees and then i move includding seeds.like for istance my lease is up soon so I will order everthing and then I move.but if your lock down inn one place it wont help you.
